when doing the final paperwork for the sale they come up with these extra things to buy. its an emotional time, i understand, however you have a certain amount of time which you can cancel the extra sales they made. get a refund for your $1980 they got out of you. how long do you have to work to make $1980. when you get the 1980 back take that amount of time off work and enjoy yourself
I am looking for a 2013 Prius 3 with sunroof and the best offers I seem to receive are 26K + document + TTL. I feel it is atleast 1200$ over what I can get based on the other posts. Has someone got better luck in NJ or tri-state area? I am contacting the dealerships via email/carwoo.
But if the entire amount is financed at 0%, and you know how to earn interest on the money that you are still paying back to the dealer over the term, the interest you earn will likely be greater than $1000 over the course of 5 years. It's simple to earn around 2% a year with hardly any risk.
My thought was the OP said he paid $1000 for the 0% Toyota does not charge anything for the 0%, perhaps the dealer did? Please tell me how to make 2% with hardly any risk..
It costs $1000 more to finance because they are probably using the $1000 rebate from Toyota to get the lower price. You can't combine the rebate and the 0%.
I purchased mine July 19. After I made my best deal I opted for the 0% No money down, got the payment book a few weeks later. They never mentioned the $1000 rebate at that time or I would have taken it. My understanding was that it was not available any longer. I see no reason why they charged the OP the $1000 extra...
Just bought the 2013 Prius 2 Winter Grey for 24,800 OTD in San Francisco. We took the 0% APR for 60 months instead of the 1000 cash back. Most of the negotiation was done via calling multiple dealerships and email.
So glad I found this forum! Okay, I've done my research but still feeling like I need to run this by the experts here! Prius Four w/Solar Roof Package in Blizzard Pearl : Found at SoCal dealer MSRP: $33,685 Offer: $30,991 (from Internet Dept; $2694 off MSRP or 9.2% 'savings') OTD: $33,895 I did some research via TrueCar, Edmunds, Kelley. TrueCar shows "great price" at anything less than $30,587. It also showed 3 "certified" dealers at this price. The above offer was through the Internet Dept and considered a "No Hassle, No Haggle Price". Is that really true? I've had one friend say the internet pricing is firm and another one that said it is absolutely still negotiable. At the very least, I was going to come back at $30,500. What do you guys think?? Also.. OT. Do heated seats just come standard on this model? Didn't see it listed as an option so I'm guessing yes. Thanks in advance!
I really wish we would indicate how we are paying for the car itself. When the OTD is stated it can include a doc fee which is different for every dealer, sales tax, tags etc. We are in different states and our tax rules vary. Please just indicate how much the car by itself was sold to you for.
I actually find the OTD price to be the most helpful/informative bit of info! But if people provide both that would be even better.
I bought a 2013 Prius 2. Vin number etched in windows, toyota guard, mats included for $21000. OTD was $23000 (MSRP $26000)That difference was tax, title registration.....best of all NO DEALER FEE!!! I didn't get the lowest price nationwide, but i am happy with it. Most dealers were quoting me $23 w/o the etching, mats, or toyota guard and with $700 dealer fees PLUS $800 destination fees. . I didn't specifically ask for those. I actually told the salesperson to show me their least expensive prius 2. I am the new own of a sea glass pearl. I've named her Persephone. I think I did ok. Can some affirm for me?
I'm also in SoCal - got 13% off MSRP on a new Prius 4 without Solar last month. Absolutely everything is negotiable - if you don't ask you'll never know. You might try Tustin Toyota if you haven't already, ask for Daniel Tsai. Yes, you get heated seats with the Prius 4.
Just got my Silver Prius two in SF Bayarea. They did add tax and fees before rebates Here my break down price Dealer Selling price: $22651 +tax , tag & doc fees =$25000 -$1000 (factory rebate) =$2400 ( OTD ) I was expecting $23500 out of door , Unfortunately, none of the dealer has it in silver with this price. Another reason is the $1000 Honda trade in expires at the end of Sept, and My old honda License-plate renewal and Smoke Check are due . After traded in the old honda we paid $23000 for a Silver Prius Two ( mats included)
