It's somewhat bizarre that you are trying to make all the changes to the list but aren't even participating on the list.
I received my PIP on 15 August 2013 and have about 900 miles on the odometer. I have reset my two EV ratio screens about 2 weeks ago and have about 560 miles (total) on them. But this is not the point. Did not know there is a precondition needed to post in this thread! I would like you to judge my posts on their merits only. Reviewing your (many) posts here and in other threads I find you locked in the misconception that you must be always right, and to my knowledge I am not the only one that feels this way and not the fist to tell you this.
Do not know from where you are taking these 3% worse case. Take fortytwok case described in post #211, by the current formula he saw a drop from 155 to 135 MPG(e) in one mile driving! that's 13% drop.
As I said earlier...we aren't changing it. Sorry. I do however look forward to you reaching 1000 miles so you can join the list.
Forget about exact precision. Just play the "game". I think it makes it more fun. Try to game it as much as possible.
Have not reset the screen since I purchased the car in 12/2012... Based on what I seeing here I'm not so efficient
Ok. Took me a long time to play the game, about 1/2 the summer (refilled tank July 12th), but I'm over 1k miles now. Being a fair player, this Pic is not much before I hit 4 gallons, so 3.8 or 3.9 would be closer to the truth than 3.5, but since we are throwing precision to the wind, I'll go with it One way to be fairer would be to have Pics before and after the gallons used changed and average them, but that makes the data collection more complicated.
Yep! it takes along time to play the game. It took me from April 5th until August 29th. Now continue on and inprove your number!
I am working on an improved number but that 18.6 was due to a long trip I took where I advantageously used the EV in spots. Got 32 EV miles from one charge on that trip.
