This thread is for posting both really high and some really low pictures of your display when it is fully charged showing how much EV range you have on a full battery.

This is mostly for fun and curiosity, but I think this can be educational and eye opening to new/inexperienced PiP and Prius drivers.

No rules here. Post whatever you want, but ideally we will see some EV ranges 17+ miles and some under 10...especially in the winter.

:)My high this summer has been 10.8. My low since January 2013 was 9.1. I normally recharge with less than 1.0 miles left. My one way work commute is 9.8 miles. Winter months, I make it with .5 or less remaining. I've learned to adjust my speed in route to ensure I make it. For those getting much more range on a charge, share your secret.

Only have owned my PIP since June, my high is 12.3 on the screen managed to squeeze another real mile out of it. Please do share, how you get more miles from a charge, before driving.

I live at the top of a hill, so I have to be careful not to regen too much after a charge. So far the engine kicks in pretty reliably at 13.7 miles if I don't go into neutral.

What are the factors that determine how much range is shown? I note that I live in a very hilly area and the estimates are nearly useless for me unless I happen to be on mostly flat roads.

you can't make it higher or lowr, or 'charge to e more miles'. i won' go into i, bt it' all explained in the faq's. the cars are all the same, it's our driving, weather, topogaphy and roads that are different. the ev mile estimate is based on all that.

If I do not include the first week my highest was ~11 miles & lowest was 8.4. Most of my routes include hills. If I drive on a flat road I can exceed the estimates by 1 to 3 miles.
Not really an issue for me since I am averaging ~207 MPG/~82 MPGe.

Most I have gotten was 12.9 miles just a few weeks ago. Was over 12 all through the summer. Last winter the lowest I remember was 8.1 miles when it was below 10°F outside.

I move around better in the summer myself so I can't blame the car...

16.0 summer, 12.2 winter ( well March in Boston)
I may have a pic if you need it. I still think there's a diff between 2012 and 2013 - anytime I read of a low EV range it seems to be 2012s

and to Retired4999 - If I got a read of under 10 I'd be taking a pic too and screaming at the dealership !

;)It still gets me to work and home on a charge. Not saying I wouldn't prefer more.

I was getting 13.5 miles when I first got the car a year ago. Start up range has dropped slowly and my last fill was the lowest ever at 10.9 miles

I purchased PiP April 2013 and Ev range since has consistently been 12.0- 13.2 range.
Currently 13.1 for Summer months. Hilly terrain in upstate NY. Am interested to see what happens In cold weather.

My high is around 13.9 and my recent low was 10.8 Of course it all depends on the terrain and stops of your past few EV trips and how you drive during the trip. Perhaps the folks with really high values could tell us what kind of trips they had. No point in describing the same for low values, we all know how to do that :)

All roads 30-35 mph, all city. Leave my home go 0.4 miles one stop light, then down hill about 300 foot drop with two stop lights to river, cross bridge, Four stop lights thru downtown, then up 300 foot hill, now rolling roads with one stop light and three stop signs.
Reverse route to home. Temps 80-95 degrees f.

to get my estimate above 16, i have to go on many 'scenic drives' on flat roads around 24mph average.
