After lurking on this forum for a few weeks I decided to buy a 2013 Prius C Two, super white, generic I know. Took my first trip up to local mountains. Going up I got 31.2 MPG. Coming back I got 99.4 MPG. Round trip was 80 miles. How'd I do? Oh, and it wouldn't be nice if I didn't share a photo:
Congratulations! I just got mine today also, in blue streak metallic. Great picture and sounds like you had an awesome first drive!
I think were at the same dealer in San Diego. How did you get your EC logo emblem off your car? Seems like they used a pretty strong 3M adhesive.
If that's true then I think I saw your car in the lot, good pick! As far as the emblem, mine actually wasn't really put on properly maybe? I just started separating it from the top of the e and it was clear that it wasn't on all the way. It really was just a process of getting one "spot" peeled off then holding onto that spot while slowly peeling it off. Like I said, mine didn't seem like it was on fully. Hope you're able to take it off
I was the guy wearing the Dr. Pepper Shirt. My dealer emblem was being stubborn and was pressed on with some force. Fortunately some fishing line and a back and forth action took care of it till I was able to get my fingers underneath and peal it off. Since it was on for about 24 hours it came off pretty easily.
That's great! Glad it came off easily. They really should have asked before putting those on. If you don't mind me asking, since we got the same model at the same dealer on the same day, how much did you end up paying out the door? For me it was $20,750, which we felt like was a really good price.
I'd go to the dealership and ask them to take it off. If I bought a car with a dealer logo stuck on it, I wouldn't accept the car until it was removed or they paid me an advertising fee.
Mine was stuck on fairly well and I couldn't get my fingers underneath. I grabbed some fishing line and did a back and forth "saw-like" motion till it was about halfway through, I was then able to get my fingers underneath. Came off fairly easily in the end.
. I also got the same model and color. I think it is a very neat car. Now my wife will also be able to keep up with the MPG of my PIP. We plan on saving the PIP for local EV trips and using the C for longer trips. The best of both worlds.
Quite by happenstance I got the shot. Decided to pull over to get the sunset and the hills without the car in the shot. Thought it would look better to have the car in the shot so I crossed the street to get it. Bought a new car and camera within a week of each other. Loving both! Thanks! I haven't even gone through my first tank of gas yet.
Thank you on all! Thanks! Did my first fuel up today, last dot on the gauge was blinking at me and it only took 8.4 gallons, I calculated it at about 41MPG, but this was from a partial tank and about 30 some miles from the dealer. Next fuel up should get me a better idea of my driving.
Two days of driving =107 miles. With. 67 mpg. That is with NO cruise control and the engine not broken in yet. And it gets better.......my 3rd Prius now.
