I am submitting my mad ninja skills for applause, lol.

It isn't so clear but, the in the second picture I had shaved that diagonal gray piece of plastic, for the cable to run under.

Then, I just dropped the cable straight down into the glove box and velcro'ed the protector case of the iPod to the box.

    It only took 5-10 min.

The box opens and closes fine. Plus it cleans up the interior a little.

Since I have been accused recently of being too negative, I'll just stop in and say great job!

Toyota should look at what you did, and incorporate that into future design.

Yep, they could look at Mercedes, for one, and put the iPod connector right in the glove box.

What did you use to shave the plastic?

The standard Prius is like that. Not sure about the V. But they sure did skimp on the C.

Makes sense . . . so those two pieces of plastic are able to be separated, then snap back in place? May be obvious, but just want to be sure before I go prying around in order to push the connector through. It looks great how you did it!

Oh yeah, the whole damn car pretty much just pops apart. It is a dream to work on. Just pop off the radio cover, then ac vent, then upper gray part, and finally the liwer gray part.

I used a smaller flathead and a file.

I placed the flathead under the lower right corner of the radio trim. It pops out a little a then rips free, but there is a connection for your hazard lights.

Just grab the ac vent by hand and it pulls right out.

The upper gray part just lifts off, a couple pop holders.

The lower gray part is a little stubborn. You will be able to see where clips pass through. On the right most clip and the clip at the curve, about where you plan on filing, can be compressed to fit back through the holes. Apply a little pressure to the colored clip to depress it and it will slide right out. Then I just yanked the rest of plastic out; it comes out as one piece, which extends under the MASSIVE temperature knob.

Then pick a point to file, honestly I don't think it has to be filed all that much. I was just being picky, the cable will fit fine, but I'd know it was slightly warped.

As you look down into the dash, above the glove box, I draped the cable to the right of the metal support bar and into the glove box.

Then everything snaps back into place. My wife was staring at me weird when I was explaining it to her, but I had her come out and just take panels off/on. She was amazed by how easy it was to take apart.
