I'm obsessed with my BCP Persona. I love the color and think it is so distinctive. Here in the L.A. area I've seen thousands of Prii of all colors but have only seen five BCP's since I got mine in March and I look for them. Has anyone seen any lately?
Besides the one sitting in my garage , there is another in the small town I live in. What are the odds? I've seen a few others, but not many.
Saw one just the other day in a parking lot, like it (do the 17" wheels give you a little more ground clearance) ?
I've seen photos of two so far totalled ar the salvage auction site I visit. It's amazing what they go for just to get the parts! Bill
Saw two Personas this past week. One BCP and one BP. Isn't the only difference the dark chrome trim instead of silver? If so, I'd get that trim separately and JDM piano black steering wheel. Best of both worlds.
I have had my black cherry pearl Prius since April and I am concerned about the paint job. Two weeks after I purchased it, a rock must have ricocheted off the hood and left a scratch down to the metal. Now I have two other scratches on the hood. The car shows spots terribly and the black fin at the base of the back window has smudges that won't wipe out. There are also specks of iridescence throughout the exterior. Is that normal? I take it in tonight for its first 5,000 mile checkup and I do intend to talk to the dealership about the paint job. I had never owned a Toyota. My previous cars were Saturns (may they rest in peace) and I never had this problem with previous cars. I like my Prius but am disappointed in the paint finish.
Probably some embedded residues that can easily be removed with claying. Your problem is nothing new and exactly why many here invest in protection film/clear bra.
I saw a Black Cherry today on the 134 fwy through Pasadena. (7th one I have seen since my purchase.) They really stand out (to me at least.)
