Hello everyone. New to the forum. New to Toyotas. New to hybrids. Not new to loving cars. My wife and I just purchased a 2013 Blizzard Pearl Prius 2. It took me a long while to convince myself that I would be okay buying a Prius as I've owned nothing but gas guzzling fast cars in the past. That being said, I love this damn car so far. We use it for commuting 70 miles round trip a day to work. Only have a few hundred miles on it and I'm averaging 50 mpg - much better than I expected with a brand new car. Plan on removing the wheel covers today and tinting the windows soon. Maybe install some mud guards down the road as well - we will see. Anyway, hello! I look forward to learning more about this car and its technology.
Been a nickname of mine for a long time. Any other 'cheap' little mods or finishing touches you guys can recommend? I'm a tinkerer.
I'm also a noob! My wife and I each got a 2010 prius within this last month. We got hers tinted. I still need to do mine. But my first hands on mod will be yellow fog lights.
Yes, welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. Enjoy hearing about those that come from the gas guzzlers and enjoy the prius experience. Yes again to the color choice, you won't be disappointed. BP wasn't even on my long-list but I now think it is the best color to get. Anyways, be sure to sign up for the Blizzard Brigade.
im in the same boat too as i just bought my seaglass pearl TWO last saturday... loving every minute of it so far. makes me a better and more conscious/aware driver. averaging 57MPG on my fresh new 280 miles Giselle. glad i traded in my 4runner for this efficient beauty... just shopping now for some weather tech liner and mats and sunshield and maybe get a darker tint. check out amazon for some great deals
how easy was it? im thinking of doing the same thing..and then getting the black rims plasti dip..cool idea
Took me about 45 seconds to do all 4. Super easy. I just grabbed two spokes that were opposite of one another and yanked. Painting some 1.5 inch electrical caps as I type this
Makes a huge difference. I am not sure how 'sporty' this car can look, but I'll tell you that the black wheels, IMO, look cleaner and gives the car a little bit of edge.
The Euro version is longer and has better "coverage". I tend to bottom out over speed humps with them though...
Yes, all stock. The fronts often rub on the speed bumps in the parking garages (suspension compressing). Gets real bad when I am dragging around a bunch of ice in the winter time. I measure 3 1/2" between the end of the flap and the ground.
