You advance guys need not apply on this one. But how far does the range work on the fob? And how the heck do you know when it's on?
So far, remote a/c has not worked well or predictably for me (PiP Base), and certainly not at much range. In extreme heat conditions, sometimes I activate remote a/c when I...leave....the car...such as when going into a store for 10-15 minutes. Then it's still relatively cool upon returning. But I would sure love it to work when walking towards the car from the golf course after a few hours in the sun. Regardless, I just power up and activate the normal a/c while loading the clubs in the back. All the hot air blows out the hatch, and the car is cool in 1 minute. Hard to complain, really.
That's when I tend to use it most. When I know I will be in a store for less than 10 minutes. It probably doesn't use that much more energy to keep it cool that to let it get hot in there and then cool it back down.
If I am going to be out a short time I remove the hard key and lock the door and leave it running. The auto temp is on. You cant tell the car is on. You need the key to open the door. SCH-I535 ? 2
