So the bushman in South America living in a dung hut eating plants, roots and nuts and the occasional hunted meat must think the middle class guy in a 2,000 square foot house and a Prius is not ECO minded.
I think you're spot on. Low profile comes to mind. If I didn't want to attract attention, the Prius would be my car of choice. I guess that's why nobody pays any attention to me.
They may not fit the defination of green, but when they do drive their Prii, they are a bit greener, better the Prius than the Hummer. Another reason for a celeb to drive a Prius, they are less likely to be noticed in a Prius than when in their Bentleys.
Also many car manufacturers 'give', 'loan', 'donate', etc. to the stars so their glamour rubs off on the brand. It works both ways.
That's how I got my 2012 Prius plug In. That lasted six weeks until the first of my sixty 0% interest payments was due. Speaking of "celebrities", I like my Prius better most on the OPs list.
Yep...I agree. Maybe they drive a Prius because it is a comfortable, reliable, efficent means of transportation. Not to neglect the fact that you can use the car pool lane in southern ca traffic and it doesn't attract the attention the exotics would. All those things may seem pretty appealing to some of the rich and famous. Come to think of it, doesn't it reflect on all of us as being a wise choice?
Maybe they just like the car, is that too unrealistic? Maybe they like that they only have to fill up once a week or so, and having less time in the camera eye! Maybe Prius is the new Mercedes in Hollywood! Who knows for sure why Hollywood is driving the Prius, but it makes me feel good that i am in good company
I wonder what ever happened to these prii, especially since most of them were only 2nd gen, and probably didn't get driven very much. They probably sat up in a garage for months at a time. I personally like that celebrities drive Prii! They musy have good taste! Well. . . A good manger anyway. Lol
