    777 electric miles * 0.32 = 248.64 kWh = 7.38 gallon equivalent

    1,044 total miles / 136 MPG = 7.68 gallon gas

    Composite MPGe = 1,044 miles / 15.06 gallon = 69.4 MPGe
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Added you to the list! Two spots left to be taken.

I see that getting 1000miles is pretty hard for volt owners unless they do a lot of work and then its not generally "verified" I run a spreadsheet and update it, but that is less verifiable. How about if we go screen shots from myvolt for any 30 day period that is > 750 miles.. Such as these

(Which uses a different estimate of kWh, its not raw but also not from the wall. As Jeff N did, I'm finding its off by about 2-3% off.
And the front page is correct on MPGe, but does not show the actual data.

Maybe we should one of these two?

What are the other choices other than "Last 30 days"? Is there "Last 60 days"?

7, 30 or 365 days (12 months). But the 12 month has always been wrong for me.. (and apparently even 30 days is problematic for some). I definately had a problem with the 30days in Jan (it had me using 150 gallons of gas in one day.. ) so its not perfect. Never see what css28.. had.

My "main page" 30 day average always seems consistent with my expected results. The efficiency detail popup window with the menu that let's you select 30 days or 12 months has always been a bit "off" by showing electric efficiency which looked like it had not been adjusted for charging loss.

Just recently, the popup results are way off (like css28's numbers) showing very low kWhs used (maybe 50% of reality). The results between the main page and the popup window are also a bit off by miles driven. I'm guessing the main page numbers are pre-computed and the popup numbers are computed as needed so they data may be a day off between the two.

Given my experiences, I suggest we stick with just using the main page 30 day numbers if you want easy OnStar results.

Here are my main page and popup snapshots today. The main page shows 250 Wh per mile, 48.4 mpg HV, and 108 MPGe combined during the last 30 days and 2,000+ miles. That's about what I expected.

I looked at the raw data once for my volt report. It appeared if I had a trip that ended in a garage where the satelite couldn't connect the data for that trip tended to get dropped. This resulted in some discrepancies, because the trip into the city which ended in a parking structure but was 1/2 electric wouldn't register, but the trip home on all gas would.

    Interesting.

Does the newer model (2013) track and store the kWh in the car?

Based on this, I added you to the list.

Capture two "Last 30 Days". We can combined the miles from both so the total is 1,000+ miles.

Actually, the "Energy Consumption" is the possibly flaky display that is shown in a popup window if you click on the "show details" button.

I think the better choice is clicking on the "efficiency" icon on the main page. That will only show data for the last 30 days (no date range menu). Bajapat unfortunately didn't capture that image (but did capture the main page "mileage" display). For the difference between the two, see my own earlier post where I uploaded the "good" image and the "bad/flaky" detail page image.

I agree that capturing roughly consecutive non-overlapping 30 day main page efficiency snapshots in order to buildup a 1,000 mile minimum is a reasonable approach.

This will be simpler at some point when GM sets aside another round of money to fix up the website and correct whatever is causing the detail window data to be flaky. My impression is that Nissan's equivalent CarWings website has issues as well so GM probably hasn't felt the competitive pressures to to improve their own website yet.

Excellent. Your OnStar detailed record data looks similar to what I see. Some of the data gets weirdly allocated between days but if you look carefully you can reverse engineer what happened and the data all averages out correctly.

From my recently posted 30 day OnStar summary it looks like I drove slightly more efficiently on HV and EV but my EV ratio was 85% while yours was 96.6%. If I scale my ratio to be the same I would get around 131 MPGe combined.

FYI, I recalibrated with a kill-a-watt. Used 3 measurements and on average the data reported in the onstar report was too low, so I've adjusted by 2.5% (i.e. multiply by * 1.025). I think I recall you saying you also use a recalibration.. what was that?

I'd guess we are pretty close.. You are definitely better on gas. When I used it I'm generally on the uphill run from denver and driving after a late flight.. so not being too careful.

With my recalibrated data my reported overall is 24.6 kWh/100m (the average without that, which is what I would presume is the front page, is 24.09kWh/100m. My summary is often 24
    [IMG]
when my driving is mostly back and forth to work. I'll post another Sept 7. It does go up to 25 when I have to make more trips to denver with longer highway trips (just took two so I'm at 25 right now).

But yes having a higher EV ratio helps keep the MPGe higher.

I kept a log of my daily driving for a couple of weeks until I reached just over 1,000 miles. All of my charging was at ChargePoint other than my overnight charge at home which was on GM's cheap Level 2 EVSE that didn't have any direct metering. I cross-checked my OnStar daytime records with the ChargePoint records and found a 2.5% difference. I figured the ChargePoint data was more likely to be accurate so I multiplied my overnight OnStar charging records by 1.025 as you also did.

I hadn't realized earlier that you made that adjustment to your data so now it looks like you are driving just a bit more efficiently on EV than I am. On my 1,000 log and on my monthly OnStar summary (after a 2.5% djustment) I'm getting about 133-135 MPGe.

Actually, you are driving quite a bit more efficiently since you are charging with more overhead at 120v most of the time, right? I'm always using 240v now but 80% of my miles are on the highway at 55-60 mph.
