Just upgraded from the Gen II to the Gen III prius, and my roof racks are no longer compatible. Looking to get a new set but hoping to hear from the forum on which racks you have selected and the pros/cons of them. I used the Rhino Racks on the Gen II and they worked great, if they looked a little bulky to the eye. I use the racks to mount a 15' racing paddleboard and will be also using them for a new mountain bike. Thoughts, stories, ideas, pics appreciated!
I sell racks... including rhino, you may just need to replace the pad and clamps... the crossbar you have are about 3.15 inches longer than the set for gen3... do yours have about an inch and a half adjustment room on each side to make them smaller? SCH-I535 ? 4
I do believe there is sufficient room, but my conversation with the Rhino Rack people directly said that I couldn't trade them out - the wouldn't fit properly. That may be their salesmen side or their legal team talking, but considering the need to have a stable fit I don't want to take the risk.
