I bought a 2013 Clearwater Blue Metallic Base plug-in with floor/cargo mats included for $26,241.79, accounting for $3,000 cash back from Toyota, 0% 60 mos. financing. This price does not include the $795.00 in freight charges.
Thanks! I thought so too...I worked hard for that deal! I bought it in Clarksville, MD at Antwerpen Toyota. After going to a few dealers in the area and receiving quotes over the phone/email that were bait and switches, it was nice to work with a dealership who was straightforward and honest.
$27k with destination minus $2.5k tax credit. $24.5k for a midsize plugin with the biggest cargo is a great deal. Hope you can participate in the Top 10 MPGe thread soon.
...and don't forget MD has state incentive, $600 state tax back in the pocket for Peppy Prius...and MD is CARB state s0 150000 batt warranty.
Yes, it is a pretty amazing deal! I keep seeing folks discussing whether or not it is worth the extra premium for the PiP. With the price I paid, there isn't a premium. I've owned the car for one week and I couldn't be happier! Looking forward to participating in the Top 10 MPGe soon!
I got mine for $25k and I couldn't be happier. Love the efficiency, practicality and the capabilities.
those of you in California looking for a deal…just looked at the Oregon incentives and looks like they are very similar to what I got last year… $2k cash incentive + 0% for 60 months financing +dealer is offering $2590 off MSRP bringing the price down to $28,500 before incentives after CA CVRP rebate and IRS rebate, that's just $24,500 for a Base 2013
Meant to come on here early in July... I don't have all the exact numbers but these are all very close. Bottom line, I am paying $265/month for base 2013 PIP, Silver. 15k a month with $0.15 for additional miles. Came with all the mats but no extras. This is after CT sales taxes but not including property tax (yes, sadly, cars are taxed as property in CT). I wrote a check for $1812.00 when I picked the car up and this included my first month, all reg, plate and Toyota financial fees and some capital cost reduction. I believe the residual was $16,700-ish. All in all I believe a good deal. I remember calculating my cap cost reduction to be around $28 a month so it would have been around $300/month without it. Could have done better but I really like the dealer. I don't want to look like a dealer shill so post if you want to know where and which sales person.
Not much action in this thread, guess I should update it. Purchased a new Blizzard Pearl 2012 PIPA from a dealership in Boston (I live in Florida) for $29k + TTL + shipping. Came out to a little less than $32k total, before the $2500 tax credit. Overall the process has gone fairly smooth, took about 2 weeks on the dealership/credit union side then another 2 weeks for the delivery. Just a FYI to those that have been looking for these- There are a few more of these 2012 PIPAs out there for similar pricing, you just have to contact the dealerships directly and ask them. While working on this deal, there were couple on sale for $24k and $28k (versus the $29k I paid), both in Clearwater Blue. Seems like dealerships are desperately trying to get rid of these since 2014s should be out soon. Also, if anyone plans on buying a car long distance and needs some help with the process, just send me a PM.
Any reason you decided on a 2012 vs 2013? I think I would've expected even cheaper on such On a related note a friend is buying a volt for 29k. Given the 7500 tax back that's insanely low ! That pricing may push PiPs even lower because as much as I love mine if a volt was the same price or even cheaper ...
My PIP Base, Blizzard Pearl with floor mats, was leased with a purchase price of $24,300 after the Toyota lease cash of $7300. Residual of $17,280, MF of effectively 0. Zero down, $250/month 3yr/36k including taxes and fees.
I just got a new 2012 PIP Advanced for $29,500 +TTL from Charles Toyota in Norwich, CT. After the tax credit, my cost is $27,000 + TTL. Even though it's really "2 years old" with the 2014s already out, I still thought they gave me a pretty good deal (but not quite as good as scgator's!). The transaction was a piece of cake. No sales pressure, they drove an hour from the dealership to pick me up at the airport, and they were simply very good people. Props to Art and Rick. I highly recommend the dealership. The car itself was surprisingly very nice. I mean, I knew it would be a great car, but the ride and technology in this thing compared to my 2008 is a giant leap. The radar cruise control is very clever. The heads up display with the speed, power band, and NAV directions is great, too. I love tech, and this car is oozing with it. My 2008 Prius Package 6 with a Hymotion kit to be sold soon! Let me know if you're interested!
