Carpet floor mats and the all important wheel locks for those hot rims. Miller Toyota in Manassas. I sent out requests for quotes to just about every dealer in the DC Metro, they were the lowest by a decent amount without haggling further, and after researching the numbers, I figured they were pretty good as they stood. I supposed I could have gone in and tried to grind a few hundred more off, but I was tired of car shopping by then. I probably also could have tried to bounce the number off some competitors, but I liked the fact this place came out strong instead of slow playing the hand. One place that offered a horrible price (and is also closest to my house) is still calling me trying to get me to come in. Pretty easy checkout too. I called and went over the numbers after the email, made sure the car I wanted was in stock, and said I'd be in the next day. Car was sitting out front with a sold sign on it, no attempt at bait and switch, and I didn't even get offered an extended warranty. Looked it over to make it didn't fall off the truck and took care of the paperwork. IMO TrueCar is pretty dealer friendly these days. I used to price shop on there every now and then, back when they would give you a solid price offer without entering info or anything. They would also give you all the numbers. "Dealer cost", holdback, invoice, etc. Then they got sued by Honda (I think it was Honda) saying they violated franchise laws by selling cars this way, and dealerships didn't like that all this info was going out. So then you started getting "target price", and hardly any other data. I saw the "target price" for a few cars I was considering and left TrueCar behind.
From Toyota Sam? He's a GREAT Guy..we bought a Sienna from him before...He actually sends me birthday cards still!!
I paid $25,688 plus taxes and dealer handling yesterday for a Prius 4 w/out the solar roof thing from Stevinson Toyota East in Aurora, CO. Got in on the 0% financing for 60 mos since it wasn't much more than a lease and I can make it my forever car. Fyi....my other vehicle, that I'm keeping (and was my daily driver for 5 yrs) was a 2005 F-250 diesel. I was spending $300/month on diesel, which just about covers the payment on the car.
The sheet I have says options are: floor/cargo mats: $225, rear bumper applique: $69, delivery, processing & handling: $795, total: $29, 524. . I believe there is a doc fee, but I didn't get all that paperwork since I didn't take delivery of the car yet. I should get it tomorrow morning. Ironically my F-250 is in the shop, so I've been tooling around in a loaner Prius 2. I'm SO glad that I got the leather. There are 10k miles on this rental and the cloth seats already look bad. I'm loving it already though. I have driven all over and the fuel gage hasn't gone down at all!
I paid 22,500 and OTD paid 19,150 with trade and incentive for my 2013 Prius 3 blizzard pearl. Love it so far. Getting a consistent 55-57 mpg! Only wish I had gotten leather seats
It also had 3 hail dents on it, and I had it looked at by a PDR company that said tops it'll cost 500$ and they sell a groupon for 50$ for 500$ in repair work SCORE! so I think I got a great deal.
Just got a Prius v model 3 earlier this week. MSRP was $28,477 (include all weather mats & cargo tray and wheel locks). Paid $25288 b4 TTL. So I got $3189 Off MSRP. I also added after market for $1249 (Katzkin). How did I do? I am in the Bay Area.
I got a New 2012 Prius 4 Liftback with solar roof loaded $33500 MSRP, took $4500 off in February wish I had waited for the new deals and the free gas card offer............... but I still luv it
