I got 65.1 mpg on the way home from the dealer. My previous car was a Mustang, so I have undergone a radical change in my driving habits. I am really enthusiastic about getting max gas mileage.
I paid $20,284 + tax, title, license, and a few miscellaneous fees. I got that price after emailing several dealers.
There is a passenger airbag dash light that is staying on. I'm sure it is some minor thing to clear it.
So far I love the car.

Do you put a large bag/groceries on that seat? Three grocery bags full will put that on. By the way, my dealer said that if the passenger side goes off to save your groceries, its $1500 to replace.

Ah. OK, the airbag light is supposed to be on. Thanks, Chinchilla for helping me to clarify that. It works fine. I love this car!

The first thing I did was put black electrical tape over that stupid light.

I have about 15,000 miles on mine. I have a two I had the windows lightly tinted. Other then adding gas I had to to the dealer 3 times for schedule maintenance covered by warranty The few times I smash the gas peddle(to merge into traffic, on off free way) it makes the economy car buzz. I do wish it came with a cigaret lighter and not just a 12 volt port. The back seat is small but 90% of the time it is just me in the car. I bought this after I got in an accident in my Scion TC. The air bags deployed and I walked away. After that I wanted another Toyota product. The Prius C and Prius are the highest MPG non plug in car you can get. The C is more normal car like then a Prius OK I will stop rambling. . .

I've got an Audi TT and a VW Scirocco R and I still find the baby car fun to drive...

I discovered something new to love about the car last night. A problem that I have with my Mustang is poor visibility at night. I guess that it is because the headlights sit so low. I assumed that my age also had something to do with it. I literally stopped driving at night and let my wife do it. My plan was to install HID headlights and fog lights on the Prius C. Well, last night I tried it out and discovered that with just the stock headlights there is plenty of light for me to drive comfortably. Another reason now to sell the Mustang.

But in the interest of full disclosure, I have found something that I don't like about the Prius C. The seat is comfortable for short drives, but not for an hour or more. My back gets sore. (The seating in the Mustang is fine.) I'll figure out something to modify the seating to suit me I hope. How is the comfort of the seat in the regular Prius?

Consider Wet Okle seat covers, you can add adjustable lumbar support, and it won't break the bank...

We have had our C-2 for a year now. Love it more every day. I have done several upgrades to the car. One, is the heated leather seats that are padded more than factory. I turned 59 years old Sunday and have no problems now with the seats on long trips. Love the car. Have been a Mustang owner, and hotrodder, all of my life. Great cars but this C is a gas miser and that is why we have it.

I finally got around to inflating the tires. I put in 40 pounds psi in each tire and on my already warmed up engine, I got 76 mpg! Wow! Very impressive. I do use pulse and glide all the time, but that is an amazing increase.

It is my mid back that gets sore. I already use a lumbar support pillow. If you look closely at the seating, they have placed the curvature of the seat above the lumbar spine (low back) in the area of the thoracic spine (mid and upper back). That is what I believe is causing my difficulty. So, I have to find a way to fill in the lower area more thus effectively flattening the curvature they have put into the seating in the wrong location. That should make it right I think. (I am a physical therapist). I'll let you know how it goes. I haven't had much free time to devote to it yet.

I have a lumbar pillow that massages.... best thing ever. I brought it over from my Saturn.

I drive 60 miles a day in my C 3 and don't have any back soreness. This could be due to my age (31) or my posture. I sit in a cubicle all day so I am very conscious of my posture. Are you slouching when driving?

I drive 130 miles per day (hence the need for a Prius), and as a new owner I've also noticed that the placement of the headrest encourages me to press my head uncomfortably forward. Anyone else have this issue or just me?

Ztanos - what kind/brand of lumbar pillow is it?

I don't remember, I picked it up at Walgreens when it was on sale. I put two triple A batteries in it and it vibrates. I find I have to ride with the seat 1 notch more inclined back than I would without it, but I like it.

Does your model have the height and lumbar adjustments in the seats? My dealer helped me to adjust those (I'm only 5' tall) and the lumbar support in the C4 is very comfortable and firm...
