They don't have reflectors on the side so they do not meet code.

Technically true, but taillights aren't required to have side reflectors as long as they're somewhere on the body of the car and many manufacturers do that.

You can stick reflectors on the sides of the bumper to be within code but I wouldn't bother given that none of the 100 plus PC members with aftermarket taillights have ever been pulled over for lack of side reflectors. It's enforced even less than illegal tint.

I'd be interested in seeing how the plastidip holds up on the brake calipers. Those get damn hot.
You'd be better off using engine enamel for calipers.

Plastidip has a temp rating up to 312 degrees. I also dont plan on driving this thing like a sports car, I try to use as much regen braking as possible, and keep the friction brakes to a minimum. Time will tell as to how they hold up. I wanted Plastidip just for the ease of removal if I ever want to.

No PC members have ever been pulled over specifically for lack of side reflectors. One member (Ragz) did get cited for too dark taillights in N.Y. but got it dismissed. Another member, ucsmfu in Canada, got a warning because Canadian police for some reason thought there weren't any rear reflectors on his Valenti SB taillights, which isn't true as they do have fully exposed rear reflectors.

Thanks Bino, They're about 5" wide to give them strength. And they fit real nice, with a slight taper front and rear. I pick them up from Alex at Fuzion Teknique. ( 310-408-0724 ) They have them in stock right now for 350 + installation.

Installed the JDM piano black shift knob today to match my JDM piano black steering wheel. While nice looking, I couldn't bring myself to get one of the electronic shifters as I don't like the idea of not being able to shift intuitively under duress (in an emergency situation) so I went big instead. Yes, it has the JDM shift pattern so it's the other handedness just like JDM electronic shifters.

    I got it from the ebayer zeroism702 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 Toyota Prius ZVW 30 35 Leather Shift Knob Black | eBay

I actually had a smooth leather version that I got through Nigel a couple weeks ago for only $40, but I wasn't satisfied with the build quality of it. Nigel said the factory doesn't make the perforated leather version anymore but it was dirt cheap at $40 so I got it anyway to see if I like it.

Below is a pic of the two. $99 one on the left and $40 one on the right. The $99 one has much tighter stitching in black vs. the gray stitching with some frayed ends on the $40 one. They're obviously made by different factories. If you already have the JDM piano black steering wheel, then definitely get the more expensive one as it's perforated and its stitching is more similar to that found on the steering wheel. Otherwise, you may not care.

Supposedly, it's a $500 fine in Illinois to run without reflectors. That being said, my xB didn't have front or rear reflectors for several years. I never had a problem and I don't know of a single person who was ever cited for it.
