Thanks for the idea. I think I will be attempting a spray while I save for new rims.

Is is as simple as removing the hubcap and spray painting it? Any particular type of spray paint? Or are they all the same? I've never purchased any spray paint before.

 

Mine came out like the OPs. I used a Primer (two thin layers), Dupli-Color Dupli-Color BTY1622 Black Sand Pearl Toyota Exact-Match Automotive Paint - 8 oz. Aerosol : Amazon.com : Automotive (Toyota Black, two layers), and a Gloss (two layers) to finish it. Some people sand their rims with sandpaper before hand to clear off the gloss and promote better adheasion. I did not know about this when I did mine. I haven't seen any issues of paint loss...yet.

used plasti-dip on my hubs. Took a lot less time and money then paint and if I want to change back to stock just have to peel off.

 

Not cheaper then $3.95 rattle can Kustom. Once you go black you never go back.. That what I heard anyway.

 

The plasti-dip is $5.95/can here. Plus, like mentioned before. If you don't like it, you can peel it off. Can't do that with your $3.95 can.

 

I also plasti-dipped my factory hubcaps. I think the look of plasti-dip is awesome, perfect look between matte and gloss for my preference. $5.98/can, need 3 cans for a good 5-6 coats. Also can't beat the peel-off if you want a different look/need to touch up.

I like it. Looks like a professional custom car shop did it. It has a very harmonious balance with a hint of sportiness. It makes the window trim and front spoiler pop. You Rocked it.

 

You've got some of the best looking tinted tail-lights I've seen yet on a C. That's the look I'm going for... where did you get them/how did you tint them? Thanks!
