Back in the summer of '11 when Prii were in short supply due to the earthquake & tsunami, I had a Barcelona Red III on reserve, waiting for delivery. However, I found my first choice, a Blizzard Pearl II, at another dealer and bought it.
I have Barcelona red, but if I had a real choice when buying a used prius, I would have wanted sea foam green.
I had a 2010 Prius III in Barcelona Red. I liked the color. One of the better reds out there. Now I have the Black Cherry Pearl Persona, so I guess I go for the colorful models...
So most of you Barcelona Red owners would rather get something else than the other red color, Black Cherry Pearl, as 2nd choice?
I bought a red Prius 4 three weeks ago, and the red was my first choice. For some reason I love it with the bisque interior but not with the gray. (And yes, I know the pillars and headliner are still gray. Weird, but I can live with it.)
When I had my Barcelona Red one guy said it looked like Ferrari Red... (It's just not as fast). I really liked the color and still look at other BR Prii as one of the more interesting colors.
Does red fade? I see a lot of other red cars out there with faded paint, including one I owned a long time ago. Galaxy Nexus ? 2
mine is red also. I did have an 11 and traded for a 12, same color. My mom did buy a 12 white. That would have been my second choice. the two 2012's the 2011
Dear Toyota, Please bring back green as a color on the GenIII Prius. If not, please adopt the orange from the Prius C into the Prius GenIII line. The available colors are MUCH too sedate! Bill the Engineer
I guess I'm just not keeping up with the latest releases... I just looked up Sea Glass Pearl. I would have preferred a bolder green like could be found on the GenI Prius. The colors in general are more pastille than I would like.
