Hi folks... hope all are enjoying their PiP's!

I am considering trading my one of my Liftback Prius's for a PiP so I thought I would peruse the forum to see where folks are getting the best deals these days....

Frankly I was surprised that there was not a sticky with everyone posting the dealer that they have found making the best deals. Seems like I was hearing some months ago that you could get much better deals back in NY/NJ area than you could on the West Coast... by thousands of dollars, such that it made it worth buying one back East and then driving or having it shipped out West.

So is there just a thread hanging about that I have not found... or have the "good deals" faded away?

    Thank you for your time,

    Steve

I believe the Price Paid on PiP thread is still going.
The really hot deals were 4th quarter last year. You can check BuyAToyota.com for different states to see what is up.

While you are shopping around, be sure to check in with Dianne Whitmire, Fleet/Internet Director at Carson Toyota in the L.A. area. She will give you the straight scoop on what's available and the shipping costs. She has given a bunch of Prius Chat members good deals, and she keeps her promises and straight forward in her dealing. She occasionally posts inventory and prices here on PC.

Has anyone seen the Westboro Toyota leases for PIP? $249/mo, 24 mo, zero down, fees and taxes included. It seems too good to be true!

I must be missing something...and no dealership in the DC area is willing to get near it.

Easy to find the site (just search westboro toyota), follow zero down leases link.

Just linking to thread for OP

I remember Dianne being around on PriusChat back when I bought a 2004 Prius locally in Memphis TN. The fact that she was still on PriusChat left me confident that she was the one to work with on getting a PiP. I used the USAA buying service and also tried VA dealerships with the idea of going there to buy. Dianne's numbers were far better, even with the cost of shipping.

Can you still get the lease rate by driving from a location out of state where that is not offered?

Example Boston area toyota dealers 149 mo 24 mo or 189 / 36

Pip not even offered in pittsburgh

    versus
    • their 36 mth lease...$190/mth with same down....etc...with residual of 17280
My head is spinning from crunching numbers for 2 days...can anyone help me with comparison on these two leases?

Hi Chuck- I don't know anything about leasing cars, but when we had the run on out-of-state PiP purchases last Fall, many people went out-of-state to purchase PiP's. Lot's of PA folks went to MD. But only certain Toyota dealers were playing the game. Many consumers reported here that they were misinformed by some dealers that out-of-state purchases were not possible with the discounts etc. Of course we knew that was false information, but apparently you had to contact the dealer that had approvals or interest to swing the out-of-state deals.
