    Hmm, that is a good question. I'm torn. But I would be happy to hear thoughts and go with the consensus.

    I am in favor of adding other plugins. After all the goal is to help educate ourselves and others to the real world capabilities of the technology.

    We need to think about a better format for presented the data. It should include both PIP only rankings and a second that includes all plugins. The biggest challenge will be recruiting drivers of the other plugins to submit their data.

    Agreed you want a PiP only table..

    I think you should keep this thread for PiP.. and if others want to have a top X they can do it in their subforum. Note that the sampling of PiP users here may be good, but for other vehicles its likely a poor sampling so top 10 here might be meaningless. E.g. I'm at 84% EV lifetime but there are 715 people with higher EV percentages at voltstats.net, so likely better overall MPGe.

    A different problem for other vehicles is how they verify data. The 2011 Volts did not display kWh used in the car in any way.. so I have to track it externally.. For many months volt owners do get emails from onstar with monthly usage that shows kWh/100miles and gas miles but it truncates overall MPG at 250 and does not report gallons. So one cannot see data for computing MPGe other than the "last 30 days" tab which may not equal 1000miles. Volt owners have voltstats.net for tracking but because the car does not report kWh the MPGe there is a weak estimate (presuming 95Mpge on EV, but last month including 100 ICE mles I was at 105MPGe overall; I have many months where my EV is 135MPGe or better..

    I have no ideas what one would do to verify a Energi's usage.

    I'm bumping this thread because I'm certain there are more PiP drivers out there who just don't know about it. Just post a ratio screen of over 1k miles and you are in the top 10...easy. :)

    Yea, that's probably the worse it can get for me. Time to work on the next 1,000 miles run.

    Edit: Volt owners need to average 65% EV ratio to hit 59 MPGe. My PiP did it with 6% EV ratio, wow!

    Per Voltstats.net, Volt owners with 85% EV ratio averaged 73.5 MPGe. My PiP with 50% EV ratio returned 75.3 MPGe. Volt owners with 50% EV averaged 51.6 MPGe.

    Isn't it interesting? Using more electricity does not result in higher efficiency.

    Actually voltstats does NOT track MPGe as OnStar won't provide through its interface to voltstats (we tried).
    Voltstats presumes 93MPGe when on battery which is a lower bound from the 2011 model year.

    For example, on voltstats my last month shows as 79.2 MPGe (and july which is 100% EV is 93MPGe).
    But here is the actual data (Note this had some highway trips at higher speeds, used gas and AC).

    Which is over 129MPGe. MPGe for EV miles over the past 12 months is 115MPGe (winters lower, summers higher and trips with guests and highway higher). My best months have MPGe of 130 and I've never had a month lower than 98. So using a flat 93 is really more of a lower bound. I'm at about 85% EV.. and since Oct 2011 my MPGe including gas and electricity, is at 95.78
    Isn't interesting how EV drivers can so significantly exceed EPA?

    Yes I measured about 9-10% from an L2 ChargePoint. Of course it is only measuring the watts when you are using it and it takes some watts to have it just sitting there. At home with L1 charging it is only a little bit worse...11 or 12% and this was measured each time and unplugging.

    If I was wiring a garage today, I'd put in a dedicated on/off wall switch. Even better would be a push button mechanical timer...one push gives you 1 hour, two pushes 2 hours, 3 pushes 3 hours...or slide a switch for always on.

    I don't think I'll last very long on the list, but great EV ratios so far! 95%+ 0f my rides are 100% electric in town/commute. Almost 100% of the HV miles are 200-800 mile round trips with little or no chance to plug-in.

    I'm sure you guys know this, but just a reminder that this can be any 1k miles segment. I imagine once the competition heats up some more we will see people going for really good 1k mile segments.
