I inadvertently pulled down too hard on the hatch cover when trying to close it. Now I can't seem to get it to adhere to its fasteners. Has anyone any experience with how to re-fasten the cover?

There are ~11 blue plastic fasteners which all need to be attached to the cover. If any are stuck to the hatch sheet metal, pull them out and reattach to the cover.

Then put the plastic cover in place and hit the plastic cover where each fastener is located. The fastener will pop into the mating hole in the hatch sheet metal.

On very hot days, I cannot open my hatch back. So the entire summer it's useless.

If you care to figure that out, the problem is either electrical (a faulty switch or solenoid lock actuator) or mechanical (hatch lock might need adjustment.) I'm sure the problem can be identified by your dealer if you do not care to work on the problem yourself.

It's the "rubber" handle. It melts and is toooo hot to touch.
