Tired of listening to items in my sub-floor storage bin sliding around every time I turned and finally broke down and bought a Toyota sub-floor organizer for $49. Don't know why I waited so long. Second best accessory I've added to the car in my opinion. So tell me the truth: does this organizer make my trunk look big?
I like it. It is had been on my short list for some time. I work on computers and networks and would like to organize my stuff under there. Enjoy it!
IMO, this accessory adds more real benefit with minimal compromise at a modest cost compared with most other accessories you could add. There isn't really much you can buy from a Toyota dealer for $49.
you know what, i didn't look at the picture close enough. I thought the insert took up the entire tray, now I'm noticing that it still leaves some space above it. I approve, lol.
You're not alone. Wasted space and being a bit expensive at $49 are common complaints among forum members going all the way back to Blind Guy (remember him?) regarding this accessory. Towel is cheaper but doesn't look too nice so you decide whether you want the nice organization. My wife asked me the other day "Does this pants make my nice person look too big?" to which I replied "No, your nice person makes your nice person look too big."
i am going to use plasti-dip to add a rubber texture to the OEM tray. that way things wont slide around and i dont need an organizer. i do like the organizers though.
Here was my solution. Scrap 3/16 plywood for dividers and two wood "Clementine" boxes in foreground. Mostly survival and emergency gear but very little wasted space.
