All of a sudden, the navigation system in my Prius c is no longer giving me turn-by-turn guidance. It will, when I set a route, give me directions, once, and will then remain silent unless I press the onscreen volume button, or use the 'Repeat directions' voice command. I've looked through all the options screens several times, but don't see anything that seems connected to turning voice guidance on or off. How can I get this working again?
Hey Fish... did the volume somehow get turned down in the default and it keeps returning to that? Check it by going to setup volume and it's one of the menus... it doesn't sound like this, but it never hurts to check.
I have the update done via the USB flash drive which someone posted on these fora a while ago; I understand there is a newer one out through TSB 0051-13 at dealers. Maybe that'll fix it?
That's one of the first things I checked. It just makes the volume when I use 'Repeat directions' louder, but does not bring back turn-by-turn directions.
I think it should. Mine runs a lot better now, although slow at startup. It might be due to some setting though. The salesman set everything up for me when i picked up my car, then he decided to leave the dealership so I don't know what my settings were before the update.
That TSB is the one for 2.2.0; I'm not aware of anything later: T-SB-0051-13 March 26, 2013 Update software to version 2.2.0 Read more: http://priuschat.com/threads/tsb-abnormal-entune-navigation-operation-for-display-audio-non-hdd-type.126226/#ixzz2XG7Q1rf7
So I got the 2.2 update today at my dealer, and this problem, as well as some minor other issues, have been fixed. My dealer did not know they had the firmware update until I gave them the TSB number to look up, but it took about two minutes once he had the right USB stick.
