Has anyone had it yet when you fueled up? I would imagine those with a lot of EV use have had the fuel countdown.
Yeah, I was counting down last week when gas was $4.29 a gallon ( had three gallons left since April) Filled up today at $3.79 a gallon
i haven't seen it, and my last tank was high ev. could it be that you just don'r notice it? by the time you shut the car off, get out, swipe your card, remove the hose and open the cap?
I must be a mushroom because I have no idea what you're talking about. Where does the countdown show up?
on the display. i'm pushing the button as i get out of the car, so, i would never see it. of course, i don't see the message when i leave the filler door open or the low gas warning either.
When you hit the filler button, a display pops up and says refuel ready. If the system isn't ready yet, a row of pips pops up and you have to wait until they countdown before filling the car.
Right, but it's not just a fuel filler door release in the PiP, it also signals the car that you want to add fuel. If there's excessive fuel vapors in the tank, it signals a pump to remove the vapors before you open the cap, so you don't get a face full. That's what the countdown is for. The Volt does the same thing.
After 630 miles, I'm down 4 pips on the fuel gauge, so when we ever get a hot day here, I'm going to hit the button just to see if it does the countdown.
