I searched, but found nothing specific for Gen III's so I thought I'd replicate the 200k club...
With overwhelming numbers of Priuses reaching 100,000 miles, I thought it is time to do a 200,000 mile club, obviously stealing all the questions from the previous club...

For those that reached 200,000 miles, please post information about your ownership experience. Some questions to think of...

    1) Did you replace the HV battery pack?
    2) Did you replace the 12v lead-acid battery?
    3) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid?
    4) Did you replace the brake pads?
    5) Your lifetime MPG (if available)?
    6) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use?
    7) How about post a picture of 200,000 miles on ODO?

I love these threads, they're very reassuring!

Question for Palmer, what do you do that you drive so much?

I do electrical work on fleet vehicles. I primarily cover NC and southern VA, but occasionally take a job in West Virginia or Georgia. I don't want to jinx myself, but this has been the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned. Before this I had a Nissan Sentra that conked out at 150 when it began cause too much down time in my work schedule.

Great to hear! One of my customers has a Toyota dealership and he said the Prius Gen 3 is the mort reliable vehicle he has seen and he said it really doesn't need much maintenance. He gotmthisnstuck in my head a month ago and today I own a Prius.

I thought I drove a lot...I cover IL, MI, IA and part of MO.

Just to update... 250k. Knock on wood, no major issues. The worst was that the lens on my map light fell off and I will need the recently announced brake recall. My most recent tank was 47mpg. Everything but the fluid and the filters is original.

Do you mind posting your oil change intervals, oil brand, transmission oil change intervals and picture of your ODO too? Pictures do boost our Prius pride and ownership. ;)

I changed my oil initially at the dealer every 5k until around 30k when the oil change interval change was made from every 5 to every 10k. My mechanic was using Kendall 0w20 from 40-200k but now uses NFI biosyn 0w20. Transmission fluid was changed at 90k, 150k, 200k and will be changed again on my next day off. All other fluids have matched the dealer recommendations.

It is definitely not dealer fresh in the interior or exterior but still drives great.

At 250k miles you havent changed the traction battery, the 12v battery, or the brake pads?

Thank you so much for sharing .It is assuring to see these vehicles are functioning beyond the 250 k mile band while there were reports from Greece cabs that the HV batteries are failing at 71k mile band.

Short answer...nope. I had both batteries tested within the last three months with no problems. Judging by the wear, I'll probably need brakes between 300-325K. I could use a good detail though :)

I have been following the the service manual pretty closely for all the maintenance items. My first set was changed at 120K and again at 230k. I changed a little early on the second set after 3 or 4 tanks of gas that had mileage in the 44mpg range. Overall I am at around 47mpg, the first 100k I averaged 51mpg. The plugs aren't cheap that is for sure.

    261k as of today.
