What's the "repair procedure" listed in the bulletin?

The previous Entune updates came by USB stick and then over the air.

Only the dealer will have the latest version 2.2.0 so it is needed to go to the dealer for the update.
The one USB we got is version 2.1.0 and Entune or Toyota will not sent the update to 2.2.0 thru USB to us. Only dealer can do the update but it should be free.

Please let us know if anyone gone and did the update.

Do you have the TSB number? My car is due for its 12-month service this month, and I'd like to be able to tell the dealer to do this update.

Thanks! I'll call my dealer and make sure they have it before I take the car in.

    Love it:
“You have arrived at your destination” message gives incorrect side of street.

How about no side of the street at all? :)

Not sure if your reply was to me.
What I mean is that Toyota should've just aknowledged that they screwed up by totally killing the street side announcement instead of giving this "incorrect side of street" nonsense.
Not sure about everyone else but to me this was a major deal so I can't wait to have my update done in order to get it fixed.

Did my update today at a service center in North Brunswick, NJ.
The issue with a missing side of the street announcement at the destination is definitely fixed.
Shouldn't have been broken in the first place!

Do they update your map too? What version of the map you have?

I am sure they did the entune update to 2.2.0... not sure if they include map update for you.

I asked the service writer and he said that maps are always a chargeable update.

Can you please explain what "TSB" stands for? How do I know what firmware version I presently have? Thanks in advance.

According to the Googles... TSB stands for Technical service bulletin. There is a detailed description of this on one of the threads in the C forum, but I don't have time right now to search for you. Maybe someone else will be able to find it.

I wonder how long before other standard features in cars start "needing" updates that the dealer can charge for. Can you imagine if radios came pre-programmed with all the stations in your area and every time a new station went on the air you'd have to pay to get it added. Perhaps they'll lock the fuel prices into the Prius C and you'll have to pay a technician to "update" fuel prices. That's sure to be a money maker.

maps updates have cost money ever since maps have been integrated into cars. it was that way for computers too, until google came in and destroyed the entire digital mapping market.

the bigger question is how much it actually is and when it will be available. 6 months ago, dealers still had no info on the cost or availability of Display Audio Entune systems for maps.

I took my car in to the Dealership in Victorville, CA. They said they had to order the part and that it wasn't being released until November 2013. I told them it was already released. Then he also said because it was 3yr/36000mi and I was passed the miles that I they usually charged for it. I was shocked as this didn't make any sense and some employees there are not understanding what I am asking for. I gave them the TSB number and basically copy and printed what was posted here. I guess I will have to contact another dealer ship. Is there really a limit of when I can get a Firmware update? That is ridiculous of this is true.

Best case is to go to a different Toyota dealer...
