    nice little boost from the doe for electric cars, i like it!(y) this is how i have been figuring mine from the get go, i hate the mpge, too complicated.

    This came up in another thread. A 28 mpg petrol car is assumed for the non-SUV class.

    So, for my Gen 4 Prius, the eGallon price is about half what is calculated. Although rated at 52 mpg I usually get 55 or higher with mainly highway speeds.
