What additives are in Costco's gas?

    Even though you pay for a top tier gas, it doesn't mean you're getting it. A few years ago, there was a BP station down the street from where I work, that closed suddenly and the signs were covered. A few weeks after that they became a Delta station. I asked the guys at the Sunoco across the street what happened. It seems they were selling a cheap gas as BP and BP found out and pulled the franchise.

    Nice story. The only thing is BP never was top tier.

    The point of the story is you may not be getting the gas you pay for.

    Everyone likes to blame the cheap gasoline providers.

    And there are a lot of questionable auto mechanics out there.

    I have over 580,000 miles on my Toyotas over the last 20 years and most of the gas was bought at Costco.

    I have never replaced fuel filters or injectors.
