I just installed an Ultra Gauge on my 2012 Prius, I wanted to see engine rpm,s and temp, no problems with getting these values, now I want to see battery temp and mg1 and mg2 temps, I don,t see these any where, Anyone able to get these without a degree in computer science?
    Thanks, Joe

I use both Ultra Gauge and Scangauge. Ultra Guage does not have the codes needed for non conventional vehicles like the Prius. That's why I also bought the Scangauge.

I have an Ultra Gauge as well and find it to be very limited in use.

I find using the two in tandem is very useful. The UltraGauge shows all the conventional stuff like RPM and engine temp etc. and its display is easier to read. I use the Scangauge to show all the Hybrid stuff like traction battery voltage, inverter temps etc.

But you can have only connected one at a time, isn't it?

No I have a splitter. I did have trouble at one time with a false emergency warning but since then I have used them in tandem without problems.

Just consider the Torque Android application as an alternative. I use it on BT OBDII adapter & cheap mobile phone combo for years. It is fully flexible for PID settings, gps tracking, different gauges .....
