Nope, 0.62(Miles/kM)*150(kM/Hour) = 93 MPH. My 2004 Prius is software limited to about 104 MPH. :)

194 km/hr would be around 121 MPH. Not sure how accurate the speedo is at those speeds.
European Prius may not be speed limited, due to the Autobahn application. Top speed is power limited.
There may also be some liability reasons the North American Prius is speed limited, while the European one might not be. Sue is a verb in the US. ;)

I did 178km/h going up-hill , a little while ago when some idiot in an Audi A3 needed some verbal abuse for driving like a total idiot (happens a lot in Greece...). Have done 185km/h on my previous 2007 Mk3 in the past going down-hill.

This one came up right after the above link from youtube. Sweet mod on the car (except for the doors) but I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are not getting anywhere near 50 mpg on the car anymore.

The metric "instant mpg" would be consumption, in l/100 km.

    Max scale is max consumption.

Yup, when the accelerator is pressed to the floor it reads "99 l/100 km". Glug glug!

At very high speeds the Prius becomes unstable due to the unique aerodynamics designed for fuel efficiency instead of downforce.

I've had my Prius up in the high 90's (mph) on multiple occasions, got it up to around 93 going up the big mountain/hill north of Phoenix on Black Canyon HWY (that only works when there aren't any *&^*&^_$# to cut you off)One of these times we are going to try to max it out on the way to Vegas since there is an uber long straight road.

I've maxed my 2010 and it was very stable on an outback sealed but bumpy road. Haven't done it since and won't do it again.

It's fine as long as there are no crosswinds and you don't have to make quick steering changes. :)

Yeah maybe! The road was dead straight.
