There's really nothing you can do if that's all that is available. If you are really concerned, the Feds are now saying E15 is safe for our cars, so you might want to join Maine in the protest against it.

Our car clearly states to not use more than E10... so I hope that isn't true.

But then again... I believe the government will do just about anything to try and make a dime.

I'm annoyed that Nevada does not require the ethanol rating, if any, to be listed on the gas pumps. And thus far I haven't found a single station attendant or manager who can tell me whether or not there is ethanol in their fuel. I generally only fuel up at Chevron or Shell.

Ours are only required to put a sticker that says "May contain up to 10% Ethanol." They have them on the pumps even when the gas doesn't actually have any in it just to cover themselves.

What makes sense to me is to fill up at a busy gas station. If it is used up constantly, there is no time for water to pool up in their gas. It is also another reason to use Regular in your Prius, it has sat there the least time.

either costco gas, military post gas, or any other cheap gas stations

  11. What about an enzyme or adding something when I go to fill up to "negate" the effect of E10? I bet whatever I add would also improve my fuel economy.

No idea how any of that would mix with gasoline, but I would not want to be first.

I use ARCO. In the town of Twentynine Palm CA. it is the lowest price gas, and I have never had a problem using it?

Here in Oregon there is no self serve gas, I believe that New Jersey is the only other state. I would rather pump my
own gas but thats the law.

All the tanker trucks that I see that service this part of Northwestern Oregon is by Harris Fuel, and I believe they stop at
Fred Meyer and Costco, and probably other stations as well.

I have used both Costco and Fred Meyer gas (regular w/ 10% Ethanol) and noticed no difference...

Chevron, Chevron, Chevron..., well unless it's just not available, out of town somewhere. I like their rep, and that they're the only ones left around here with free air.

I'm also just familiar with their machines. Some other brands have started the nonsense where you have to pre-select an amount. The trick is to just pick the max (I believe), but just more hassle/confusion I can do without.

Also, our municipality is full-service only, maybe the only hold-out in all of BC? I've bought gas here maybe once in the twenty plus years we've been here, despise full serve. Luckily nearby, more sensible communities are very nearby, on our commute. Anyway, wish Coquitlam would wake up...

Also, what is up with Oahu? if you're out-of-state (or country) you cannot use your card at the pump, have to go in, leave card with attendant, tell them the pump you're on, and so on.

Chevron. It is a California corporation and they pay Cali corporate taxes which helps in state residents. Pice is competitive

Mobil and Shell are cheap near my home also
