Did adding the triple chrome door handle set, cause issues with the keyless sensor on the drivers door?

The little cargo light was the most difficult to install. I couldn't figure out how to pop that sucker out!
Here's how: To remove the rear cargo light I used a small flat screwdriver and place it on the RIGHT side of the housing (between the lens frame.) Then GENTLY push the light housing to the LEFT as you pry/pull out on the light. You have to pop the right side out first and it comes out pretty easy after that....

Hope this helps..if so click on the THANKS on the bottom right.. :)[/quote]

    Love your ideas!
    I am following your list.
So here is the question. How did you do the make up light? Do you pry around the moulding or the frost cover? If you pry around the frost cover how the heck did you do it? I just scratched the cover with my tiny screw diver and I'm pissed!!!
    Appreciate any help.

I love the vanity lights. Maybe the guys won't use it but everyone at one point has had something in their eye while driving. The vanity was vexing but I found a picture on chat that was awesome. You use a screwdriver behind the frame NOT the clear cover. The left side is where the pry spot is on both sides. Looked scarey and I needed to use ALOT of gentle strength but the whole thing popped out.

I was looking at mine the other day and thought that it would look really cool lifted, especially with some off-road tires. It would look like some kind of cross-over SUV.

I just installed the LED lights from "iJDMToy" in my 2013 v. Two out of the six lights didn't fit. The rear passenger dome light and the cargo lamp were the wrong size and are missing the little nubs to prevent them from popping in easily.

The LED light is on the top (both LED lights are identical size). The second one is the passenger dome lamp, and the bottom one is the rear cargo area lamp.

I've sent them an email about it, hopefully they respond.

The QC on incandescent festoon lamps is notoriously poor. From actual lamps, it is often difficult to determine what the actual length spec was in mm, as designed. They may be labeled but actually be different lengths.

I noticed there are some tiny numbers imprinted on the factory lamps. The rear dome lamp is "12V8WAL 27", and the cargo area lamp is "12V5W 23". So I'm assuming the first two numbers are volts and watts respectively, and the numbers 27 and 23 must be the sizes?

Also, the cargo light switch mechanism is very primitive. Moving the switch on/off actually moves the lamp itself over the contact, and it snaps it in pretty hard. I'm sure hitting that switch while the bulb is very hot can easily break the filament.
The other downside to this is that the LED light literally rotates freely between the contacts. After pressing it on and off a few times, it turned 180 degrees and was facing the inside of the fixture o_O

Nominally 23 and 27 mm, +/- a proud or recessed drop of solder at the "points". Some of the substrate-mounted SMD LEDs manage to stabilize the orientation of the lamp in the housing

I received a reply to my email from iJBMToy about the size mismatches. Their smallest size they sell is 31mm. I told them that the rear passenger dome is 27mm, so I had some difficulty inserting their LED light.

But the rear cargo area lamp is 23mm in size, into which makes it much more difficult to install a 31mm light. I wasn't asking for a refund or replacement, I did ask them to change the description on their website, or just not include a 31mm light for the 23mm housing. This was their response:
Granted, I purchased the LED from their store for the 2010+ Prius Gen. III (based on the recommendations of this thread that they will also fit in the Prius v). So either the Prius v has a smaller lamp in the cargo area than the Gen III, or iJDMToy is really stubborn.

Either way, while it is "definitely do-able" to jam the LED lights into the housings, it is not as easy as popping out the old bulb and popping in the new. I had to do a lot of careful bending of the metal contacts and use tiny strips of tape to secure the lights in place.

Now we will see how long they lights will last :p

Quick question. I've yet to take possession of my Prius v (this weekend). Am I correct in assuming there is lighting in the foot wells (not only in the door)? If so, shouldn't it be in this kit?

    Yes, I'm getting a Five.

So, which kit is recommended in this case?

No kit available for the footwell lights. One that came from the factory is LED in orange. You can get the white LED for the footwell light from lexus

So, all you Five owners just went with the kit without footwell lights?
