3 gal compressors are great. Small, portable and good to run a number of tools. I originally bought mine to run nail guns and stuff but it works great for small air tools and filling tires.
What are people's opinions on the issue of water inside the lines of the compressor? Do all of you have filters in your lines? I just use an el cheapo $20 noisy 12v dc compressor. Yes, it's slow but once I get it started, I do other things around the garage. I don't have any air-driven tools so for me to get a compressor setup just to inflate tires is overkill.
Your referring to dedicated lines that would need that. If that's the case, inline filters work just fine. If no dedicated lines, then just drain moisture from the tank.
