    - smaller
    - more curved shape

    Beat Sonic:
    - larger
    - more triangular shape
    - supposed to get better reception in weak area

    I don't see what everyone is talking about reception issues with the VG one. I haven't noticed any issues at all. AND might I add it is a PERFECT match to the color for your vehicle? Also I noticed the Beat Sonic comes in a generic "White Pearl" and not "Blizzard Pearl"

    Nothing wrong with the VG one. Just that the Beat Sonic is said to have a slight edge in weak area based on customers' testimonies. Whether you prefer a smaller or larger shark fin and one shape over the other are purely subjective.

    All I know is that my VG shark fit is a perfect match for my Blizzard Pearl "v."

    I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

    I know, however, that any "rubber duckie" or shark fin will never equal the reception power of the 27 inch mast.

    Whoa...anyone here has the blizzard pearl beat sonic sharkfin antenna. I need to know if its generic white or the real blizzard pearl. Cause that can be a deal breaker.

    BP is listed on Beat Sonic website so it's obviously available.

    P.S. I have VG myself as I prefer smaller sharkfins. You can't go wrong with either.

    Nice. And that's the priusshop sharkfin? How was the installation process? And do you feel like you have loss of radio reception or improved?

    This is the beat sonic one, bought it on Ebay via a beatsonic distributor. Installation was pretty easy, 15 min tops. Radio reception is the same, no loss of radio or XM radio.

    A number of folks have commented on a loss of reception with the VG unit. I guess it really depends on where you live.

    Guys any advice for the changing off the original to this new shark fin version, what is involved, does the original simply unscrew from underneath the headliner ?? easy enough to remove this headliner to gain access etc ??

    None of that is necessary.

    All you do is to unscrew the "rubber duckie," use the supplied screw to fasten the ring terminal of the shark fin's antenna lead to the hole on the antenna mount on the car, remove the liner of the double stick tape on the bottom edge of he shark fin, and then press it down onto the roof of the car. You're done.

    The auction says "Shark Fin antenna specially designed and manufactured for 2010-Present Toyota Prius, Prius V, Prius C and Prius Plug-in models." The roofline hasn't changed since 2010 so it should fit fine.
