And...so far I LOVE the car. Crazy futuristic looking center info display is cool. I was debating if I should just go with no option and save money or go with Nav w/Entune.. I decided to go with budget option since my Garmin GPS works flawlessly anyways and blutooth is always had been my best friend (I realized that the car let you control and even shows name of the songs and artist via BT!! My 2011 Hyundai didnt have this nor 2012 Infinity didnt have this) My biggest issue with my new Prius is the fabric seats...Since Im huge leather fetish, I just can't stand how cheap it feels whenever you enter the car...and it will feel even more cheap when new car smell goes out. I mean C'mon....even armrest is fabric????... Im thinking to get some custom works in my interior later on. Otherwise, Im very excited to see when will be my first visit to gas station and also want to compare MPG to my previous Hyundai...(Sonata 2.0 had decent mpg too) Thanks for reading and so happy to join the family!
When I was looking to buy, they told me that they could install leather interior and it wasn't that expensive to do. They also said that they do it all the time. I opted to go with Gen III that came with the seats. It also had the appearance package and it seemed to be one of the few in the state of Florida. Another avenue might be to check ebay or a place like that and get the covers yourself and install them. It didn't seem that hard. Just need hog ring pliers, if you want it to be easier.
I got the v one week ago. I had just started using a Tom Tom on my previous car and liked it so I was really looking forward to the Entune already in the car. I am now considering going back to the Tom Tom. I cannot put in my street for a home destination- it defaults to the first three letters of a street in my town. I called Entune about this and they said it automatically goes to the nearest street spelling! I think this is crazy. We live in a new development ant the street that came up for me to put in as my home address is 3 miles away. Also, the Tom Tom would display the street you are headed to so you know what to look for. Entune doesn't. The announcing is good along with the street names you are turning onto but this system definitely has issues.
Congratulations. I too purchased a Level II and had my Dealerships Hack Shack install Leather with Heated fronts for $1500 and a 3 year guaranty This included the door panels, console and the strips on either side of the rear seats. Went perforated uppers first, but later had them changed out to solid uppers as fibers were pulling through after vacuuming. There are many options out there depending on what you want and are willing to pay.
Clazzio seat covers are pretty cheap if you're budget oriented. $300-$450 and you can have decent leather or leather-like seating.
The base Nav is atrocious. If you had purchased a higher trim level just to have it, you would've regretted it. You cannot use it while in motion. Toyota doesn't think Prius drivers will have friends that can operate the device from the passenger seat safely. The voice nav commands alternative is useless unless you have the perfect American accent. I use voice commands on my $140 Garmin just fine. Your music doesn't attenuate or pause when a voice direction is called out. That's right, that woman tries to speak through your music and she doesn't care that you set navigation with the radio off. She'll happily whisper your directions.
Try searching for your home on in the entune app on your smartphone then saving the location. From the advanced menu in the nav you can load saved locations. Might work
yeah...I've searched about this 'Entune' thing over night and seems like most of the people who got it they regretting getting it. Most of the opinions were not worth the money and seems like Toyota is't great on gadjets.. well...what matter the most is the car right? lol
even saleman told me the base Navi w/ Entune isn't worth spending $1500 more. And he knows I could spend more money on it if he told me its good. Guess I was one lucky buyer to dealt with honest saleman.
Well, frankly you are getting more than just the navigation when you move up to a model Three. Personally I feel the Nav and SKS is worth the price jump from the model Two.
I agree that the nav is lacking and not as easy to setup, but for me it was a bonus, didn't even notice it had it when I decided to go with a persona over the four w/ sunroof to save some cash (and my life....fiance would have killed me on the four... )

Ya, I am liking the looks of it, like having the 17s on it vs the 15 even if they don't last as long and lose a couple mpgs. Still need to take some pics of it, but don't want to until I get a nice sunny day and a wash. Maybe sometime nice month when winter finally gives up *cross fingers*
