I still need visors but can't bring myself to spend so much on the oem ones. I'd also like to know if anyone has these or basically any that are held on my adhesive only. My concern is that they the tape would slowly lose grip after being in the rain for long time and eventually they'd fall off.

I've had taped on visors since I bought the car in 2009. No problems at all.

I ran tape-on visors on my xB for six years without any problem.
Prepping the surface area with alcohol will help adhesion. It's also advisable to wait until a warmer day to apply them. Heat helps the 3M tape cure.

I mounted the OEM spoiler on my car with 3M tape as well (I didn't want to drill the hatch) and that held on great for years as well.

I was debating between the two styles. I had something similar to yours on my xB, but I liked the lines of the other ones better. I ordered them today.

Your car is gorgeous, by the way.

I feel they are mostly for looks, it's another mod that a lot of car people do that makes the car look different from the bunch and it looks cool.

    That's what I reckon! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Please see my other post on this for photos. I got mine off eBay. They are JDM ones from a company in California. I have to say Pretty much OEM replica but a LOT cheaper and lovely and dark!

I've never found the stick on ones ever a problem on any of the cars I have put them on! My old heavily modified Volvo 740 had OEM ones and they only stuck on aswell!

Aside from the obvious aesthetics, the biggest benefit I've experienced is being able to keep the windows venting on hot days without anybody being able to tell. They also allow you to crack the windows in the rain without getting wet and they can also reduce wind noise with the windows down on the highway.

I had ESAM style visors on my xB.

I went back to looking and decided i will either go with the plain OEM looking ones or the ones you put a link to in the first post. Could you please post pics when you get them? Its hard to tell what they really look like from the one pic on ebay, I'm wondering what they'll look like from farther away.

I disagree. Having them allows you to park outside in the summer to help keep the car cooler by leaving the windows down a little to allow some air flow. If rain rolls in, you're not going to get wet inside.

Also, during the rain you can put the windows down a little to help keep the windows from fogging up, and not get wet.

It's always nice to get a little fresh air inside, especially if you don't wan tit blowing on you from the dash vents.

Apart from a clip there is very little difference between the Toyota JDM and the ones I have like in the photos above and at a 1/4 the price I know I'd buy the replica Toyota JDM again.
