You ever get other Prius owner checking out your Prius?

I was driving home from work the day after I bought my car (well, the one I took back before I got this one) when I pulled up behind another Prius with temporary Ohio tags and a license plate frame from the same dealership where I got mine. Of course, I had to pull up next to the car at the next light to check it out, when the lady driving looked over at mine and very excitedly gave me a thumbs-up. We rolled down our windows and talked about when we got our cars and how much we are loving them. Two weeks ago, I'd have never thought that driving a Prius was such a badge of pride.

I had 3 at the same light yesterday on the way to work. 2 PC's and one Gen 2.

Sadly compared to the Mini community where every driver waves in acknowledgement, I rarely find any prius owners that care. Rather sad as I absolutely love our full prius household.

Oh, I think that we care, but we are not quite confident enough to know what to acknowledge each other.

I check out other Prius every timed I see one, particularly if iit's the same color, but I haven't worked up the nerve beyond that

I seem to have infected my Chevy Silverado truck-driving dad with my Prius enthusiasm though, because he chatted up a Prius driver he met in the grocery parking lot the other day about her car.

 

They are too common where I live as there are 5 other prii(not including mine) in my block alone. But I have to admit, I do check them out when they're lowered and/or modded w/ rims or other nice accessories .

 

I'm always gawking at them when I see them around. Sadly around here it seems that more women drive them than men. So I probably look like a weirdo when I'm driving past them and checking them out (their car).

 

Every time I see another Prius, I say Prius! My husband says stop being so smug! ​
