So I'm reading that Truecar makes it money from the dealer who pays them for a completed sell. Also read that these are no haggle prices. The Truecar prices I'm seeing are a good bit less than invoice for a 2013 Prius II & III. Is this for real?
I'm actually in progress of using true car in conjunction with emailing all the dealers in my area for their best quotes. Just as an FYI I'd make a second email for truecar and your car search in general. Right now I am $200 below the true car price for my area (i'm at 23,394 for a 2013 prius 2) with my email work, and I still have a couple dealers that need to submit theirs. I hope that with some additional quotes and work I can get this down even more
Thanks, I'll do that. What Zipcode are you using? I'm getting a lot lower prices for a II down here in GA. Did you add options? 30084 is my zip.
i'm in 46360, i'm in the chicago land area, so our prices are inflated a bit for some reason, i see prius 2 prices in other areas from folks on the forum that do get better deals, but the dealers within 70 miles of my house all seem to be higher. I'm just adding floor mats as the only accessory
I used a new service called carwoo and it worked really well if you're choosing between nearby dealers. You can do all the negotiating and communication from the website or phone app.
I'm a Truecar dealer. It works great! It's great for both consumer and dealer. We all get serious very quickly!
