Did anyone get gap insurance when they leased? I did last time in 2010 but now I think I am going to pass this time around.

I did. It was my first time leasing (always purchased in past), and decided that ~$25 every 6 months (so ~$150 over the 3 year term) was money reasonable (keep in mind that in general I'm a big believer in self-insuring--high deductibles, etc., but the cost was low enough). Dealer wanted something like $600 for comparison.

Would I get it if I leased another car? Not sure.

I leased my car in CA with TFS, and don't know what your info is based upon. Please clarify.

I wasnt at work yesterday, "my mistake". Ive leased so many vehicles I was confused. Never bought GAP yet.

I did lease through a credit union where it wasnt needed, and most insurance companies have/offer GAP for a fraction of the price a dealer charges which average around 600. bucks

Other manufacturers, or at least their finance arms, include "GAP" for leases. If you look through the fine print on the back of your lease contract it should list it, or list your responsibility for it. Again, not sure if Toyota does this, but other manufacturers do provide the coverage. Reason being, the captive finance company (TFS, IFS, NMAC, etc.) owns the car, driver is essentially renting it from them. Also, as stated above, most insurance companies can provide it as well. Leasing rules/regulations can vary from state to state.
