I was messing around with my key making equipment plugged to my computer and discovered how to make backup keys. Ive been selling them locally in the San Francisco Bay area. If you need one, check out my eBay listing. Toyota Lexus Smart Key Backup HYQ14AAB Remote HYQ14AAF MOZB21TG MOZB31EG Prius | eBay
That is very cool. Nice work. To confirm I have to send you one of my fobs of course? That's a good deal. 2007 Prius Smartkey OK? Put your ebay listing on my watch list. Thanks.
The 04 to 09 Prius uses FCC ID MOZB21TG or MOZB31EG both of which I can do. I will need your fob to copy the encryption. Please check your emergency key opens your door. Had a client once whose key didn't work.
Currently working on cracking the encryption on the 2010+ Prius. I'm finding it very difficult. Will keep you guys posted.
It will work on the 09. Have to delete the compatability list from eBay when I get home. That's the old list of cars I use to do.
This is pretty cool... If all these great people keep helping Prius users save money on spare keys Toyota is gonna be forced to not rip people off as much! Thanks!
OK- So I want to make sure I understand perfectly. I have a 09 Prius with one "Smart Key" and another "Smart Key" which unfortunately I have not been able to program for full smart key functionality. You can follow my tragic saga here: IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE: KEY/FOB Programming Issues | Page 4 | PriusChat (You can start at post #74...I really don't expect you to read through it, but...). So would I need to send you my really smart "Smart Key"?
All I need is a fob that starts your car when placed inside the slot. I'm not copying any sks features. I also need a key that opens your door in order to make a copy of it.
My computer has been running over 24 hours and I haven't been able to crack the 2010+ Prius smart key. I'll have to wait for my supplier to provide me with updated software.
While I wait...I'm going to try and make a remote key for the 04 to 09 Prius. I already sniffed out the frequency. Just have to manipulate another remote into that frequency. If i'm successful I might just get rid of the key and make an old style Toyota FOB that will open the doors remotely and start the car via the slot.
