The dealer installed these on my new Prius today and when I got home I noticed that only the fronts light up when the doors are opened. They installed these in the rear too, but when the rear doors are opened they do not light up. Can somebody that has these tell me if this is normal?
Thanks for the info! I really didn't want to go back to the dealer and ask. It's surprising though, as they look exactly like the front sills.

I can't tell you what the dealer install price is as it was something I asked for as part of my new car purchase. But if you call the service dept they could give you a price.
I called the dealer and the gave me a quote of 560.00 for parts and labor. Is this too much? I live in the SoCal area. Thank you.
Seems ridiculous, I bought mine off eBay and they light up in front and rear, wired to door switch on each door. Took me about 2hrs in total to fit and get all wired and happy with it.
It is really nice BigPete. Unfortunately I don't know how to install it like you do. I can buy the part off of Ebay but does anyone have a reputable aftermarket place that they can recommend me to in the OC and LA area where I can get the installation? Many thanks.
I went to Fuzion Teknique in Gardena. I bought the door siles thru them and had them installed there. They did a great job and they look great. Front and back light up. Don’t remember prices. Ask for Alex. 1(310) 408-0724.

On eBay you can get non Toyota ones like mine that light up front rear from well cheap. Pretty easy to install. Drag the negative off the door switch and a positive from each foot well, just use a meter to check what one is permently live.
I also bought them off eBay ($40-50) and installed them myself in about 2 hours. There's another thread somewhere about the illuminated sills. With pics from a Czech member.

Sorry Bullet, I had a few things done that day. So I just don"t know. They're the ones from Nigel-jdmparts.com. Not cheapest, but very nice quality.
Hey Pete, When I looked at the site you recommended for installation I do not have the same color of wires for the Illuminated door sills. The instructions are for a 2010 Prius and I have a 2013. Any suggestions anyone?
