Problems so far breakdowns or any tech issues?

Oh, this is a biggy: driver's floor mat (OEM carpet type mat), took about 3 months to wear a hole right through. It's got no rubber inlay.

Mine came matless, so I've ordered the extreme heavy-duty Weathertek mats.

Bought them for the 2009 RAV4 a couple years back and really liked them.

I've had zero real issues with my 2012 Pri, purchased last May. If I think of anything I'll post again.

You can get floor mats from at least a dozen places on line. Here is an example, all 4 for $54: StyleLine REPT410307 Floor Mats | Auto Parts Warehouse There are some other places that will sell just the front ones.

My original mats have 76K miles on them and the driver's side is getting worn where my right heel rests. I may try some after market ones.

What is remarkable about 3rd gen Prius, the first year of new generation has fewer issues than last year of previous generation. This is unheard of in cars. The previous first year of generation Toyotas I purchased, had a whole lot of more early issues that were not huge, but annoying.

 

My 2010 IV (traded with 57K) had no real mechanical problems, but lots of rattles (esp. rear hatch). And, on the annoyance front, the hatch raises too high and hits the underside of the garage door resulting in lots of chips on the spoiler.

My 2013 Persona (only about a month old) so far, so good .... rear hatch still has the same problem. I know there are shorter hatch struts available aftermarket, but I don't really want to go that route. Sure would be nice if they had some kind of adjustable limiter.

 

That's one of the first upgrades I did. I bought some custom Berber floor mats with all the factor stays. They look terrific and they will last forever.
