Buy a Four and swap to a set of 17" wheels. You can get the solar roof option too. It's not available on the other models except the Three.
Always easy to spend more but I'm sticking to my budget... I saw a "Four with premium solar and plus package.. very nice but price tag was $36k! Odd how a you can't get a 5 with sunroof.
Plus springs will have to be installed by me if it works out. They could not locate one with it and they don't want to order. Come to think of it, if it's true the Persona production has stopped, how can I order one? Also a little concerned about hitch clearing my driveway with the rack on there.
Salesmen. I doubt that too but that is what a few said. Who knows till it happens. In the meantime, I'm finalizing paper work.
If you're in San Francisco and need a shop to install them, you definitely want Luscious Garage. That place is The Best!
Just so you know, not sure if the Plus Perfomance package is even being built. Ill have to check tomorrow at work. Ours is the Plus Appearance, and its the first ive seen. Persona has stopped? ill check on that as well, just for the forums.
The Persona is still being built. The Plus is rare with Appearance showing up in just a few different models. He didnt see any Performace editions. What the salesmen was doing was probably trying to stop you from ordering, and selling one in stock. How we prefference cars goes like this. We only get a few openings a month where we can make changes to ordered vehicles, that may have beeen closed or missed for this month, but it would be open for change later this month or next month.
I am taking the leap from a Volvo v-70 2.5 T wagon. I love driving my Volvo and I'm sure I won't love driving the Prius anywhere near as much. But, the Volvo is 10 years old, some of the electronic stuff is acting up (although mechanically it is still a dream) and my circumstances have me working and residing some 400 miles away from home. So, getting just under 30 mpg burning premium, or getting 50 burning regular makes for a huge consideration. I figure my average two trips home a month now cost me $270 or so in gas alone, and I should halve that with the Prius. Plus I'm doing my thing for the planet. But I sure will miss driving my Volvo.
I predict you will not regret your decision and... you'll never drive a Volvo again. Lol. Welcome to PC.
After owning three BMWs and an Audi, the Prius IV is NOT disappointing. You made a great decision. ZERO problems with the Prius after 14 months and currently averaging 55.2 MPG on the current tank of gas with a lifetime 52.6 MPG. I have made a game of taking the back roads, enjoying the relaxing drive, slowing down, being a safer driver and trying to increase my gas mileage. The technology on the Prius is great. I enjoy the power seat, automatic headlight, LED daytime running lights and storage room. Congratulations!
Great choice I just picked up my 2013 prius persona yesterday I love it. It's a little getting used to from 1997 4runner but needed the new car cause it was not work it to fix the 4runner. I also needed it for great gas mileage, for a newborn car seat and for it to fit my road bike. It does fit great inside but I plan on putting a tow hitch later for It. I was debating on getting the prius 3 but I actually got a great deal on the persona that it was like getting the persona for free and I get the 17" wheels with the softex seat I could not pass it up.
