My poor Prius

I can only say that people in America are in a constant state of fear.
Many believe they need to buy many guns, bullets, and shoot em up.

We have on one side criminals and crazy people with guns.
On another side trained Peace Officers.
On the other vigilanties.

Then you have the ones who do not own guns and hope they don't get caught in the cross fire.

 

One of the best car alarms I installed in one of my cars was one that went off inside the car. When it went off, it was so loud, you could not stay in the car. It also had a strobe light that went off, too.

 

You forgot the another "other side", the victims of crimes. Not everyone was raised, lives or works is an area isolated from that. JMD you should be old enough to know better than to make such broad general antagonistic assumptions in life.

Well since this thread has derailed, I'll play devils advocate.

Maybe if more people (criminals) feared losing their life over $6,000 worth of airbags they wouldn't want to steal said airbags.

 

Like I've said earlier.

Gun discussion is like politics and religion. There are 2 sides of the argument, no one ever wins. Practice and do what you believe, to each it's own.

 

I don't think a gun debate is making her feel any better. Let us hijack another thread and leave this one in peace

You don't speak for the whole country.

 

The UK as about 65 million people and only 35 died from a Hand gun in 2012. In the USA a nation of about 300 million people 11,000 people died.

I wonder if the gun policy is working. We are a Nation of violence. We all have fear that the bad guys have guns and we need bigger guns and more of them and bullets also.

Then we have what we have today. People get injured and die.

Maybe we should just outlaw guns unless your a cop or a soldier. Your caught with one a year in Jail. Than maybe the bad guys will get no guns and the good guys will be safer.

You can rent a gun at a Police monitored shooting range. Hunting you rent the gun. You don't return it warrant for your address.




I'll say this the few people I know who owned guns never had there AH HA moment with a criminal. Not one. But I can say that there tight control of locking the guns up, and separating the bullets, and hiding gun lock keys from the children got lazy after awhile. A few kids got in there and decided to play and bam an accident occurred that changed many lives forever. Just not worth the risk. Unfortunately most people never see beyond there own nose.

I said enough. There are probably responsible gun owners who have to suffer when accidents occur or policy changes. Somewhere in this madness is the solution. However the country needs a reasonable and progressive discussion besides more guns and more accidents.

It's really sad what goes on in this great country. There are to many killings and it never gets better, and nobody that can make changes really doesn't give a sh*t.

 

Fuzzy watch the news any given day. Violence. A good friend is a Captain of a inner city Police Dept. he said it is a war zone. Go to any inner city emergency room on a weekend.

Open your eyees my good man. Avoiding the problem is not the solution.

I guess they would help her look for the best alarm system that is compatible with the Prius, or look for airbag replacement options?

I've been reading up on aftermarket car alarms and some appears to not work well with the Prius.

Found some airbags, not sure on model year compatibilities.

Lavern and Shirley would not have the problem. They would drive and old pickup with no air bags and wouldn't be caught dead in an upscale neighborhood.

 

Just gun down anyone for theft? Someone's life is worth taking away because of your airbags? You make the term "an eye for an eye" seem like child's play...
