You can get well over 500 miles on a tank in the Prius c if you drive it right, dude.

Don't read too much into the fuel gauge. It is non-linear, its top doesn't correspond to the tank's real top, its bottom doesn't correspond to the tank's true bottom (i.e. a significant safety margin is built in), and the bars do not all correspond to the same amount of fuel. In short, it still has all the faults of fuel gauges of nearly all traditional cars.

You must be an optimist. To me, it would have been half empty.

Anyway, the answer depends on where the fuel level was when you started.

In addition to he other information here, you should be aware that how full 'full' is, terrain, temperature, wind, newness of tires/etc., as well as driving technique can affect your mileage. Your mileage should improve as everything breaks-in and your knowlege increases. Once those things occur, odds are that you will be well pleased. There is a wealth of information at this site once you familiarize yourself with the search function. Welcome, congratulations and good luck.

200 miles for half a tank isn't spectacular.. but you mentioned you just purchased the car.

give it some time to break in. don't do anything horrible during the break-in process.. and you'll see better mileage in the future.
