Yes, I got the last Blizzard White. My state also offers an additional $1000 rebate. So all together, I think it's an amazing deal. I was looking at the regular Prius level 5 before and I think the PIP is actually cheaper now.
So, I did some emailing around today. Mainly in the NJ area. The best price so far I have gotten is $30,500 including the $6,500 rebate + TTL and fees. The problem is color choices are limited. Most of them were Clearwater Blue or Sea Glass Pearl, neither of which I want. I already have a Clearwater Blue. Anybody in the SoCal area looking for one? Maybe we can save on shipping since the cheapest quote I got is about $1,000 door to door. PM me if anybody is serious.
check dchtoyotacity in mamoreneck ny i purchased there back in sept for good deal back then. they have few base/advance models left over. wouldnt make sense to lease regular prius in NY area now when it's actually cheaper to lease PiP base model with these crazy incentives.
Friends, I am driving a brand new PIP advanced just because of the support and help given by you. I bought the PIP on Jan 28th and shipped to my door on Feb9th. Dealer sent me the revised papers, signed back and sent to them around Feb15th. I also sent the VIN verification form. I never received anything from the TFS about my first payment. I am kept in dark about my Registration ( I am in Santa clara and dealer is in NJ) I emailed and left the message to the sales guy I have dealed with. I called the dealer to connect me to the sales guy, they were saying he is busy and asked to leave the message. I left message several times and this guy is not responding and his name is Mark. What are my options here ? I am driving my car without registration and clueless. Please guide me like you guys always ... Thanks D
TFS will mail you a bill (payment book). I bought one yesterday. My first payment will be in April. Do not worry! You owe them money. They will find you.
Thanks for reply, How about registration ? I really want to get the HOV sticker. Its been a month since I purchased it.
would defintely call toyota and file a complaint regarding lack of communication between you and the dealer. toyota will basically let the upper management of dealership know of complaint which will get them to call you.
I would also highly recommend being in touch with the dealer via email rather than phone. That way, just in case anything happens, you actually have a written record of the conversations that went on and your attempts to get in touch.
Attention folks, especially those who did out-of-state buys. After you get your plates and registration card compare the actual sales tax and registration fees to what you paid the dealer (look in your contract). Turns out my dealer, New Rochelle Toyota, overcharged me by $345 for registration! They owe you a refund if that happens as they are not allowed to overcharge for sales tax or registration fees. I am taking it up with them and will report what happens.
Some dealers charge your state sales tax on the full amount before Toyota rebate, some charges you on after-rebate amount. That may explain the difference... . Registrations is separate and usually low. $125 in MA for new plate. Besides that, dealers also charge doc fee. It varies hugely...
No, my dealer just plain screwed up. They actually undercharged the state sales tax (simply used the wrong tax rate), but overcharged the registration fee by hundreds of dollars. I'm not including any doc fees they charged.
Are you sure your dealer didn't charge you an additional fee (usually for a third party company) to register the car for you?
They did but I'm not including that fee either in the amount they overcharged me. I'm only adding up sales tax and pure registration fee and the net overcharge is $345. Basically they collected 2% of the vehicle sales price (pre-incentives) for registration alone. Turns out that is way too high for CA.
Man, I thought I got a good deal until I saw what other people paid! On the bright side, I didn't get ripped off. I am in Southern California and purchased in late Februrary 2013: 2013 Base Prius Plug-in w/ floor mats, rear bumper applique, and 50-state emissions Purchase Price: $30,000 Invoice if known: $32,30o (includes Delivery Charge) Sticker: $33,090 (includes Delivery Charge) Model (advanced or standard): Standard Please leave off tax, federal credit, or state incentives. DONE
So looking and can't find a dealer that can match or beat $30,300. Problem is they only have Clear Water Blue. Anybody have any leads? I'm shipping it, so doesn't really matter where I am getting it from. Just as long as they are offering $6,500 rebate.
Getting 30k for the advanced is pretty ballsy. I don't think anyone got that. The cheapest one I'm seeing on our spreadsheet is $31,251 bought on 2/8 in CT.
Just updated the spreadsheet with a bunch of posts I had missed – looks like we also had another 312xx sale in NJ on 2/27
