Anyone have a Prius v 5 (no ATP) and tried to pair a Verizon Samsung Brightside phone? I am able to pair but when exiting the car, the phone is nearly useless. The ringer is off, all sounds are disabled. When someone calls or texts, there are no rings or any sounds whatsoever. I can answer a call but the caller hears nothing. The only way to get the phone working again is to do a power off/on reset. I tried troubleshooting the issue with Verizon and with my local Toyota dealer but each one blames the other. SO FRUSTRATING!! This is the highest level phone before going to an actual 'Smartphone'. I don't need one as I don't go online with my phone and don't want to pay for a data package. Please help!!
Might be a software issue - capabilities of your phone. You can just go ahead and turn off your bluetooth on your phone when you exit your vehicle. But you have to turn it on when you get in the your car.
I have 2013 Prius v two and the same phone. I have no problem except once in a while I have to resync phone to car.
Still have the Brightside phone and same problem with bluetooth. Anyone else have similar issues? Solutions? (should have called this phone "Blindside".
