What new thing have you discovered about your Prius?

Change 'union' to 'voters in GM's food chain'. That means plenty of non-union workers and suppliers and sellers and family too.

 

I've come to realize that there are many, many, many, many, many, many hard plastics in the Prius that squeak and rattle a lot lol

I've discovered that my garage looks cooler with my Prius parked inside

That may be the cause of some of the rattles, but my buddy's '12 is just as cheap and hard inside, just designed a little differently lol

 

Mine lights up the garage... love the way it looks as well.

Garage is painted white and a Blizzard Pearl might get lost in there unless I shone a flashlight on it!

 

I don't have the squeaks and rattles but I think turning the stereo up would alleviate some of that... Acoustics in the Gen III rock IMHO.... the sound doesn't "get lost."

 

I just discovered this, this week.

On some of the HSI displays, if you hold the display button, it will switch to the "other" display.

I think it's only the displays with graphs. (5min vs 1min, Cost savings vs Monthly MPG)

 

First I'm a newbie. What's this tray. I thought I got one in my car. When I went looked for it after delivery, it's wasn't there. So I figured that someone took it out when they cleaned it up for delivery, and didn't put it back. Had the salesman do a search for me plus looked at others in the lot and none of them had one. He thought he looked at a 3 but I think he had found one in a C and that one didn't fit. The parts guy looked one up, and there is one that is supposed to fit but it's $26 bucks. Now my question do the 2013 prius 3 come with this tray? Thanks for any replies.

 

That's actually called a "map light". Almost all of the cars have it.

 

My 2013 Prius 3 didn't come with tray.

Also the brochure said that my car should have come with automatic cruise control. (You know the ones that adjust your speed automatically based on what's in front of you). Well, it didnt' come with one

 

That is looking like an insert that was present in my 2010 sliding center console (armrest), but absent from my 2012 slightly simplified (non-sliding) console.

 

I don't think so (I could be wrong). He's not talking about the lights you can switch on and off. There's a really subtle light that shines dimly right on the shifter area. It took me a while to realize what it was when I first saw it too. Reading a map by it would be nearly impossible. It's barely enough to make out the eco/power mode switches.

You may want to double check what you think you read. First) It's called DRCC (dynamic radar cruise control) not automatic CC (whatever that means). Second) it's an option available only on the Prius 5. And third) Even then it's a $5000 Technology upgrade package. Sadly I did get a 5 with tech package, but I love the DRCC. I can't imagine driving my commute without it anymore

 

REALLY? Defending personal space? At night, on a dark winding road, with your nieces on board, and you pull that washer fluid crap on some crazed tailgater? Just pull over or, . . . try explaining that action to your brother/sister about their kids being shot/maimed for life.

 

I think the light in question is a tiny little spot light, not the map lights. And yes, it's sole purpose is to light up the shifter.

 

Yawn.

Old enough to know better and wise enough not to let someone push me around.
