I did absolutely nothing today, except for shopping and learning about wheels and tires.

I started to block it. I have one of the pipe insulation tubes ready to install.
You can't see the cord coming out of the grille under the license plate but it's there.
And after having the Block Heater on for ~5 hrs the next morning I had Glacial Movement on my hood !!
The whole mass started flowing forward.

I attempted to rewire the led hatchbacks cause the black wire was still sticking out, and in order for me to get it through the black tube, I cut both the wires, black and white. Then as I attempted to reconnect them, the leds won't turn on, anyone have any suggestions what went wrong ? I wired the positive and ground correctly.

One thing I've noticed about the Prius I don't like us when I change bulbs in the back I've notice there is a residual electric charge. Have you checked the fuse to see if it's blown?

when i replaced the stock trunk light it works fine, so I don't think it's a problem with the fuse right ?

So the side standard light is working but the ones in the hatch aren't? I'm just making sure that I understand correctly here. So hatch is open and side light is illuminating but the hatch ones aren't? So switch is turned on and side light and hatch lights should be working but only side light illuminates...

Did you hear any sort of discharge while working on it? Is there a built in fuse in the after market lights? Also, check the connection to the lighting units themselves. Make sure they didn't come loose.

Wait on that last bit. I'm referring to IF it came with a plug and play adapter. If it was hard wired then disregard.

The led hatch lights did come plug and play. Worked fine until i cut the plugs off. Could the plugs be giving the wires a different voltage ?

    Plugs could have been:

    1. Wired backwards (I've had this happen before to me.) So you think you have + to + and - to - but really you have + to - and - to +. With LEDS there is a positive side and negative side unlike with standard incandescent bulbs which are usual reversible (7440 back up lights. Standard bulb will work either way you plug it in, an LED won't. It has to be connected the right way.)
    2. Plugs could have some sort of limiter or something built into them. I can't say for sure since I don't have the available to hold.

Sounds a polarity problem. Switching the wires around should do the trick.
