    So like many people here, the screen for my factory Navi w/JBL cracked. Also like many others who've been in my situation before, the dealer told me that a whole new unit would have to be purchased at the cost of $1,xxx+. I decided I'd try my luck with finding a cheap listing on eBay or searching on just the replacement glass.

    After searching for months I found an exact fit replacement! It took a week or two for the part to arrive, and after swapping it in my screen works looks just like new! I'm not big on How-to documents so I didn't take any pictures along the way.

    I really need to capture a video to do a walk through on this. There are a lot of areas where you need to pay attention to detail so as not to damage and hyperextend data ribbon cable connections. The whole process was pretty easy.

    Part = $80 (SHIPPED)
    Time = 60 minutes

    According to the eBay seller, this screen was a 7" screen from a Toyota Camry.

    If you're around my area, I'm more than happy to do this for you for the cost of my time and the parts :)

    36,000 miles / 3 years. I did have it replaced under warranty once before. The screen breakage was not under warranty coverage though.

    Great saving!

    You're implying cracked NAV screens are common? I haven't noticed that. How did it crack anyway?

    Also, the 2010-11 NAV screen quality is pretty crappy (only 256K colors compared to 32K colors in the 5th generation Lexus NAV). I'd love it if I could get a hold of some 32K colors screen and swap it out. A video would be nice :)

    Yea, there have been at least 6 threads from people accidentally cracking their screen. Mine cracked from my daughter accidentally tripping (she's only 2) and her elbow landed on the screen.

    I just found your posting. My screen is cracked and needs replaced too. It sounds like you were able to make a great repair for a little cost. Is there any chance you could do a how to on this repair? I know it was some time ago but, if you could at least tell me how to get the screen out of the head unit that would be great. Thanks for your time!
