Just bought a set of Scion FRS wheels from my local Toyota dealership. They upgraded the wheels on four new FRS's and sold the wheels on Craigslist. I got a set for $400. Brand spanking new Michelin Primacy HP tires with rims and center caps. I will include a pic when I put them on. 2013-scion-fr-s-wheel-tire.jpg

I'm trying to squeaze the last 2-3K miles out of my old ones. I put 30K a year on the car so it should'nt take long.

Great deal! Any mpg loss from the non-LRR tires will be made up for by the fact you basically got the tires for free! :)

I agree, what an awesome deal for wheels that look good! Congrats. Did you sell your originals? It'd be nice if in the end you made out with free wheels and tires :)

Crazy deal! Especially since it's coming from a stealership.

My original MOMOs may get some winter tires........if I can find a deal. As far as the gas mileage, my last set were Michelin Primacy LRR MXM4 215/50 17's and I dropped about 4-5 MPG. Hopefully this new set is at least equal......time will tell.

It was a great deal. If I had gotten there earlier I would have bought the other sets. Someone bought the others at the same price and I've seen at least one of the sets relisted on the local Craigslist for $850

Where are the pics? I'm curious to see as I just purchased a new set of those wheels for $480. I'm going with the same Michelin MXM4's that you just put on yours. I don't really care about the mpg hit as much as I do a smoother and quieter ride! ;)

Hey F8L, what over inflated front/rear tire pressures do you recommend? Also, can I assume that I can use my existing lugs and center caps off my OEM 15's?

I also assume that my speedometer will be off and did you ever estimate by how much?

    I'm running a set of CT200h wheels w/Michelin MXM4 215/45/17 & my Speedo is off by 3mph.......I'm also seeing a 3-4 mpg loss over my 15's.

Ok, so if the speedo says 70, the radar should clock you around 73? In theory...

I run 40 rear, and 38 front (just for a bit more oversteer) :p...
And you need new lugs (15" lugs) are too wide

    Also don't forget a set of (4) 3mm spacers

For comfort and mpg I'd try 40/38 or 38/36 and see how that feels. You're not going to gain much by going a lot higher so you may as well enjoy the ride at lower pressure. :)

Oh boy..... so can I assume that the tire shop can provide me with lugs and spacers ?

    It's the other way around.

If ur speedo shows 70mph the radar will have u at 67mph

Here is a pic with the new Scion wheels on. I had to add 3mm spacers so that they cleared the calipers. GPS reads 1 MPH slower than the speedo. They ride quiet and handle just fine. I will let you know about the MPG #'S later.

Does anybody have a good source for spacers? I just used 3mm thick grade 8 washers until I fine a suitable spacer. I used the spline drive gorilla nuts, from my old MOMO wheels, to hold them on.

Oh man, those look sweet! Glad I went with 'em and that dark interior portion of the wheel will look great on my winter gray!
